After eating tapas for two days we decided on pizza, and an early night. This restaurant was just across from our hotel Garbi Millenni so just what we needed. The staff were friendly, the food was tasty and reasonably priced €4 for starters and €9 for pizza the house wine wasn't expensive, €8 a bottle.

Headed out in the evening from our hotel for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Found both not one minute from our hotel (Garbi Millenni) at August. Waiter didn't speak English but was delightful. We had a large chicken Paella (for two) and a bottle of white wine, which came to 37€. Both were quite nice, and... More

We stumbled across this restaurant whilst wandering in search of some dinner during the hot August evenings. There was a paella and wine deal which was gorgeous and a total bargain. There was a varied menu, lush sangria and Spanish beers available. What's not to love? The outdoor seating was comfortable and you're protected from the street sounds etc. Friendly... More

We happened upon August Pizza earlier today and returned several hours later for dinner. The spinach gorgonzola pizza was fabulous, as were the meatballs. We had a good bottle of red wine and it all added up to an excellent dinner in Barcelona! Wait staff were great and the price was quite reasonable. Highly recommend August Pizza!!

Found this place whilst struggling to find a reasonably priced place to eat near the city centre. Managed to get a table outside, found the menu to have lots of different options and we weren't disappointed with the tapas we ordered. The food was wonderful - particularly the chorizo in wine and we left very impressed!

Food was okay. It was very warm sitting inside, a/c on the absolute minimum. Bathrooms are smelly, do not use them.

Great find as we were wanting a pizza and were looking to eat in Domino which was closed for the holidays.Good simple menu but very reasonable with super pizzas and great chocolate desserts.Been twice and would certainly visit again.

I arrived here very late in the evening and alone as my husband was in hospital. Food was good and served quickly by friendly staff.

Staying in El Raval

Neighbourhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
