The host and server were very friendly and were able to answer any questions I had about the food. There is a large selection of paella. I chose the seafood paella. They are not cheap with the seafood, and the rice to seafood ratio was fair! Unfortunately, I wasn't too crazy about it, because there was a bit too much... More

I tried L'Arros, despite its location in the heart of a tourist strip, because the food looked good from a distance, looking over people's shoulders. And the food was not terrible. But for a place that specializes in just one thing, it doesn't do that thing very good. The paella is uninspired, oily, and just plain overpriced. I can't say... More

Long story short, all sorts of paella on sale, at about 16 euros each. Add about 6 for deserts, 4-5 for drinks and you're good to go. Paella was good, individually baked, but not great. To be honest I think it was a bit dry but I'm not a paella expert. And it could have had a bit more rice... More

Situated slightly away from the flashier part of the marina food complex, this restaurant delivers far better than it would look upon first inspection. We arrived during the afternoon rush but an outside table was soon made up for us. Our friends ordered the paella 'without shells' and the small crispy fish whilst we ordered a selection of starters. This... More

I love L'Arros for the wide choice of paella which is served in individual plates (it normally goes for two people to share), so that anyone can be free to chose what to eat...

We went here our first night in Barcelona, having been recommended to by a friend. We were the only customers in the restaurant which was surprising, as the food was outstanding! We had the seafood Paella, oven cooked to order, and came with a small basket of bread. We deshelled the seafood ourselves and only just managed to polish off... More

we enjoyed a pleasant lunch here, on our way to Barceloneta. Prompt friendly service, and reasonably priced menu. We ordered a salad and a seafood paella to between two - not a blow-out but a reasonable lunch, especially with a bottle of house white.

Dined here with my wife for a light lunch sitting outside in the sun. Perfectly acceptable standard tapas served by a very friendly and helpful waitress. Coca de tomate for two, chorizo cooked in white wine, a large bowl of mixed olives, grilled Mediterranean vegetables and a glass of cava and a large beer all for thirty euros. And afterwards we were... Went late on a Sunday night having read positive previous reviews. Starters were good. Calamari was fresh and well prepared. The Brie, bacon and onions was tasty but too much of it!! The paella lived up to its reputation! The seafood paella was fresh and tasty. The paella was cooked just right. The chicken paella has mushrooms and artichokes. Full... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
