We went in for a late lunch. Our server was wonderfully pleasant and accommodating. The afternoon menu offered a starter, main course, dessert and beverage for 12.95 Euros. We enjoyed a lovely salmon quiche, shrimp with rice and beans, Lamb stew, grilled pork ribs, orange carpaccio and coconut cake along with a glass of house red. The food was rich... More

Fortunately we had checked the map in advance, as it is not easy to find Famen. It it is in a very short street off Travessera de Gracía, and about ten minutes' walk from either Joanic or Verdaguer metro stations. It's not big and I've heard from friends that it can be quite full at weekends, so in that case... More

The food is good, especially tuna with sesam. Each plate is nicely designed. Great value for money. As we were a relatively large group ((13 people), waiting time was rather long, but if you are in a good company, it doesn't actually matter.

Excellent lunch meal with the menu del dia. Just 2 blocks away from the apartment we rented. We were 4 for lunch and got a variety of the dishes. Well priced at 12.95 euro.

Interesting fusion cuisine, but a bit too pricey. Tapas tasted delicious, but portions were quite small. Suitable for dinner with friends. Expect poorly arranged tables, too close from each other, and lots of noise. All in all, I think we will come back for the food.

Very good lunch for 12 euro. 3 dishes and a drink is great. Creative and well done! Recommend!!! The only boring thing is not to be abel to sit outside.

The daily 3 course lunch menu, is really superb. The restaurant is praised by locals and I got to see why. It is every time really excellent. And the relaxed atmosphere top it of.

Fair prices, rapid and friendly service. Try the patatas Famen (a tower of skewered fried potato rounds), croquetas (both jamon and setas/mushrooms), which were flavorful, and the scallops (viejas). The "secreto iberico" (pork tenderloin) entree with yam chips and caramelized apple was terrific. Other people were seen devouring the steak. Definitely will be back when in the Gracia area.

A nice restaurant in the Gràcia district of Barcelona. Good food and service. I recommend the starters to share, the squid and the chicken and prawn rolls are delicious. They could improve their desserts but the pear tart is very good.

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
