Great location very nice ambiance and lovely space . Unfortunately the food was a let down despite being a very interesting and well priced lunch menu . All three courses failed to deliver . Plain Salad , Tough piece of meat and bland desert . Could have been just a bad in the kitchen since everything else points towards a... More

Were despairing of finding good food near our hotel when we found El Toc. Excellent food and pleasant service. The best thing we had had all week.

Close to Diagonal and Gracia, this is a favorite among locals at lunch and offers good menu of the day options. Healthy! If you seek vegetables and salad, they have good offerings. The food is good. The service is overwhelmed, too few servers for the size of the place. The dessert options are limited. For example the "fruit" selection was... More

I hesitated between 3 and 4 stars, and settled for 3. The food is good and the service prompt and efficient, but frankly I don't remember anyone smiling or giving me an extra welcome feeling. For the price, I guess I expected just a little more. Don't let my review deter you if you want good quality Catalonian food -... More

My daughtercand I stumbled across this place by accident last night when our original destination was full, but very pleased that it was. So peaceful inside after the hustle and bustle of the city. Lovely surroundings and delicious food which was beautifully presented. Exceptional value for money.

We've been here a few times now and always had a fantastic meal. The mid-week menu del dia is excellent, but if you go a la carte the value for money is unquestionable too. Friendly staff and the artichoke starter is simply delicious!

... we just had time to walk back to our appartment (~1.5km) when the both of us (we had the same plate, salmom and cheese as starters and tuna as main dish) started feeling sick with aching stomac (this was tonight, we're still up as sleeping is not possible at this time. So very obviously there was something wrong with... More

This small restaurant was located about 300 yards from our Barcelona apartment. It was decorated with a stark elegance, and the servers (all women, unusual in our experience) were dressed in black and white attire to match their surroundings. It was not busy on either of the nights we dined there, and our server was very friendly and eager to... More

The paella we had here as the first plate of a menu del dia was the best we had in Spain. The restaurant was elegant and service was fine. The whole neighborhood was pleasant and a bit of a break from the busy main streets. Great value.

The beste evening and maybe the best meal we had in Barcelona! One of the biggeste reasons to why, is the amazing hard working waitress. She contributed with a great and friendly service. She said she couldnt speak english, but it was more than good enough. The meal starte dwith som free apetizers, that was a cold cucumber-soup in a... More

Staying in Gracia

Neighbourhood Profile
Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the centre, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theatre that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.
