The food was good, the service was spot on, the only complain that I have is; it took a long time between the courses. But probably that is the way it supposed to be in a tasting menu

This was my 3rd visit in 2 years. I love this little place. So incredibly friendly and the food is fantastic. This year I was a little concerned that they had moved to tasting menus but I needn't have worried, it was all delicious. I have been there with 30 people and with 6 and also just the wife and... We opted for the gastronomic tasting menu accompanied with wine, and wow, what a choice that was! The food was fantastic and the wine pairings were perfect, it was so nice to taste some really brilliant local wines. The best of the wine was the restaurants own red wine which inspired us so much we bought two bottles to take... More

We have New Year Eve there. The menu was delicious. Every wine was matching the courses and Marcus was great with explanation of every wine. The only bad experience was the smell of the drain. It was very strong, but good it was at the end of the our diner, so did not ruin our evening. The price are little... More

We decided to go for a gourmet meal for our last night of a long weekend in Barcelona, and we were not disappointed. We each ordered the wines to match the various courses, and perhaps we should have shared this as by the end of the meal we were getting a little tipsy as the size of each glassful was... More

Me and my boyfriend was in Barcelona in august 2013. We arrived late, so I surprised him with booking a table at Montiel, so that we would avoid using a lot of time looking for a restaurant. The restaurant was a little hard to find, but after a quick call, we were picked up, and led to the restaurant, and... More

I would like to firstly comment that we were at the restaurant the same evening 15/1 and could not smell drains and we both work in the fragrance industry and have excellent noses. I was there for my 50th birthday and Marcus and his team could not done enough to make my birthday any more special. The food was very... More

Restaurant was empty when we arrived and had an unfortunate smell of drains. Only 4 others arrive after us, perhaps because it was a Wednesday in January! The tastings menu of 7 courses did not have different wines for each course which was unlike tastings menus we have previously experienced. The food was on the whole tasty but the beetroot... More

This restaurant is very close to being worthy of a top 20 spot for Barcelona, if not higher. My partner and I dined here on new year's day. The night before we'd eaten at ABaC, which perhaps raised our expectations somewhat. However, the food was solid, and the chef is clearly ambitious. The decor is perhaps a let down....plain, but... Description
Based on an exhaustive selection of the best raw materials in our region, the gastronomic offer is made from simple and tasty tapas to a full season tasting menu. Paying the utmost attention in the respect for the raw materials, producers and our environment, we work to make the gastronomic experience not only pleasant and fun, but also sustainable, fair and healthy. 80% of the products we use in our kitchen, from vegetables, meats and fish, to wines, beverages and breads, come from small producers in the region. This obliges us and allows us to always work with seasonal products and update our menus permanently. We do not use gluten or lactose and the sugar from our desserts is integral and environmentally friendly. The visit of our clients, then, becomes a comprehensive event ranging from the sensory enjoyment proper to an emotional satisfaction derived from the knowledge of knowing that what is being enjoyed also contributes to strengthen the local economy and Our own health.
