In a narrow street at the Gothic quarter we had a very enjoyable lunch. A very friendly team, English menu is available. Very recommended.

Seriously, come here! Best food experience of our trip. Was very busy with locals and mix of people so we had a drink at the bar and waited for a table.. but wasn't long! Loved the atmosphere and every staff member was lovely especially with explaining the menu and recommendations. Great wine, which goes amazing with their assorted meat board.... More

I came here as a recommendation and am very pleased I came. I had mussels in white wine and garlic which were absolutely perfect and beet salad which was also fantastic. I definitely recommended the food here. Good service and good atmosphere. A must try in Barcelona!

Stopped into this Bodega to check it out and have a cup of cava. My husband ended up ordering a listed food special of tortilla with calcots and romesco. It was really good! We like the look of the place (cozy, high ceilings, barrels lining one wall) and will definitely come back our next visit to Barcelona.

Highly recommend this little hidden away gem. Appeared to be a favourite with locals. Very friendly waiting staff, quick service, beautiful Cava and amazing tapas! I would recommend their potatas bravas, black cod and their seasonal special of beetroot and goats cheese; delicious!

My friend recommended this place to me and I am so glad she did. Not only did we have to meander through the narrow gothic streets to find it taking in more of the fabulous city but the food was sensational. It literally is at the end of a little alley, surrounded by walls of graffiti. It is small and... More

this is a real find. just stumbled across it and it was all I hoped it to be. The best food last trip to Barcelona and this one swell and I tried some high brow michelin places. It is absolutely delicious.A small selection but still something for everyone, and again, the squid croquettes are perfect!

I've been here with friends, we had good cheeses and cod fish croquet. Good local beer, unfortunately only two options but they have a good amount of wine options.

Description
With its 80 years, La Palma is undoubtedly one of the most charismatic locals of the Gothic quarter in Barcelona. Opened in 1935 as a grocery store, it has been an improvised theater stage and a meeting place for artists, painters and poets of the recent history of Barcelona. In 1987, the business became " La Bodega de la Señora Maria" and adapted to the new times, including for the first time a coffee machine and a variety of homemade omelettes, without neglecting its tradition: the barrel wine. The last change was in 2005 , when the new owners expanded the menu to convert the celler into what it is today: a place that perfectly combines traditional Catalan cuisine with a wide and varied menu of wines and champagnes . Enjoy it!
