Got talked into trying this restaurant by tout in the square. When we walked in the bar was full of empty bottles and glasses which should have warned us. Service poor, food really uninspiring. My soup was cold and chicken was three strips of chicken covered in oil with some pale chips. Looked like something from a service station. Left... More

Arrived here and waited by the bar for a good 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. When they did we were asked to sit at the bar and wait for a table. 15 minutes later we were eventually seated right next to the open door on a chilly evening! Once seated the service didn't approve at all,... More

We chose to eat inside the restaurant as the evening was a little chilly. We were allocated a very nice table and decided to order off the set menu. The choices available for each course were ample. We were served quite quickly and the food was hot and delicious. There was a wide choice of dishes if you wished to... More

We ate tapas, which was very good. However, we missed a few more meat dishes, like chicken or meatballs. The sangria at this place is the best I ever had, as was the bruschettas on the tapas. The service was slow, which draws the experience down. Took a long time to take orders, get the bill, etc, and we waited... More

Visited this restaurant for dinner and it was a bit difficult to separate from other restaurants nearby. The staff were very polite and the food was great. Very impressed!

We were seated quickly and got told at the door by the staff that first drink is free. The waitress took our order quickly and the food was served at no time. Portion is bigger than we expected and we felt full half way though. The starter of a kid's menu(€11) is more like a main course portion. It's not... More

Average food and poor service. Staff seemed totally overwhelmed by our group (admittedly large, but the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived). It was 20 minutes before our orders were even taken and approaching an hour before the food arrived. We chose beef stroganoff, but when we ordered were told that it was actually made with pork! There are... More

This small restaurant adjacent to the ever active and busy placa reial is a nice quiet spot for a bite. The service was fine. The ordered green salad was replete with fresh vegetables and a better dish than most restaurants. Don't expect fine dining but do expect eat able dishes at reasonable prices.

Took the L3 metro to Liceu station on La Rambla and walked to Placa Reial for dinner at Restaurant Santa Monica on the SE corner. Shared a goats cheese salad and chicken paella for dinner. The salad was excellent with a large slab of goats cheese on top. The paella was mostly rice with a few vegetables and a couple... More
