Excellent outstanding lunch. The egg soufflé was memorable! The sommelier was excellent and his recommendations reasonable in price and excellent in quality and in pairing the different dishes. Highly recommended. The service was a bit slow, if i should find a minus. The price , more than reasonable.

Interesting combinations, fresh ingredients, perfect service. I had the short tasting menu and I thought it was fantastic.

A friend recommended this restaurant to us as we were leaving for Barcelona. What a wonderful surprise we were in for. The decor is minimalist. The tasting menu that we enjoyed was phenomenal! Every plate that arrived was a work of art. The flavors were amazing and so creative. The wine was terrific too, a great selection. All in all,... More

El Bulli is closed and Tickets has a 3 month waiting list. I enjoy modernist food and wanted to try a high quality and relatively affordable example of the Catalan style. First the good. Small jewel box restaurant, elegant and beautiful inside, very accommodating staff. Nice wine list with lots of good values. Two tasting menus, 45E and 65E, both... More

I would go back there anytime, the foo dis creative and yummy and the wines, well the wines are for wine lover's. Great bread, excellent olive oil, very creative and different menu that allows you to appreciate the cook's good hands. Oh and they have some sort of chocolate mousse, those people make it delicious.

This restaurant serves tapas with a twist. They have standard fare as well as tapas with a fine dining twist. Also the wine selection is excellent.

Visited last week with reasonably high hopes going by previous reviews but was left disappointed!! The highlight of the meal was souffle egg. It is a tasting menu but felt there wasn't much skill on display. We got a couple of plates with chips gone out of them which I don't think is acceptable in an establishment marketing itself as... This restaurant has a hyper-sleek black and white interior, apparently nothing should divert your attention from the food. There are two set menus, one six- one ten-course menu, and the quality is overwhelmingly good. The important thing to keep in mind is that it is a degustation menu, which means all courses are very small. We went as three and... More

Close to the crowded shopping areas in Eixample, Gresca is a highly recommended restaurant. A small restaurant which only seats 24 people, better make your reservation! We chose the menu del dia, which goes for 19 euros. Three delicate courses of which the starter soufflé of egg with veggies is one to remember. Gresca has an interesting wine list, so... More

We booked Gresca at the recommendation of an acquaintance from Barcelona. As indicated getting a reservation requires calling the restaurant but planning ahead, found it to very no problem. It is small - only 24 tables. And the decor is both simple and stark but modern and very clean. I thought it made a perfect palette for the food compositions... More

Staying in Eixample

Neighbourhood Profile
Eixample
Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognisable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognised architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
