I had made an online reservation at another restaurant but upon arriving there at 9:30 we found that it was closed on Monday. We remembered this area and thought that surely many restaurants would be open even at this hour. But we were wrong as most were closing down or simply turned us away. The El Pi Antic, on the... The food was decent, but the service was awful. The staff had not intention of serving us or even being polite.

Four friends visited this restaurant last week, the owner/waiter was rude, terrible service and when we were eventually served the starters and the main courses were served at the same time !!! The result was cold food, also wrong food was served to one of us and returned. There was no replacement. It was disgusting all round.

Staying at the el Jardi hotel, which is located at the Placa de Sant Josep Oriol also, my gf and me decided to have a glass of wine with some tapas here. Actually we wanted to sit outside but all tables were occupied. So we were offered a nice table inside. This was a blessing since the El Pi Antic... More

Stumbled upon this just as we were getting peckish and were not disappointed. Nice selection of tapas and a couple of large beers fitted the bill nicely. View spoiled by a fair bit of scaffolding on the buildings but only temporary

The WORST treatment in a restaurant ever. The owner of the restaurant is impolite, disgusting and impertinent. Talking of the local, no much to say... is old and dirty. About the food, paellas are precooked, awful and also very expensive for its low quality, the ham is bought in a low cost supermarket and the price is crazy... In conclusion,... More

Bad food and even worse service. The waiter was rude as can be and obviously didn't want to be there. The food was undercooked and just aweful. Stay away from this place, I'd rather eat out of a garbage can than going back there.

A nice restaurant on the plaza di Santa Maria del Pi. They have good outdoor seating on the little square (although it is 10% more to sit outside). We had the €8 spaghetti bolgenese and €15 paella and €17 divine fish roasted in garlic and oil (called "golden to taste")! Also the €9 half liter of house wine!

Our last evening in Barcelona was a disaster regarding the restaurant. Very unpleasant waiters, they don't see you en the prices of the food are complete unbalanced with the quality. The unasked starter, some bread with a few pieces of meat, on the bill €8,40. My daughter is vegetarian, she ordered two tapas, patayas and sheep cheese, just some potatoes... More

This was our first experience of tapas, and we were not disappointed. The dishes all looked appetising and tasted wonderful. Service was pretty efficient considering how busy the place was
