Asked for a table, was put on waiting list. while waiting, saw locals after locals passing in front. After a while got tired of all this and asked what was going on. Lame excuse that all of them had bookings. As proof, they showed me the waiting list and guess what? Our name wasnt there. Wasnt too annoyed anyway, since... More

Like many other eateries in Spain, El Bardo has separate restaurant and bar (tapas) areas. We went for the latter to be able to experience more tastes. We had three different tapas sandwiches and the winner was the one with sardines. Wine by the glass (we had two) was very decent, certainly better than in most Madrid bars we've been... More

Stumbled across this bar , which is right opposite the university! There is nothing wrong about this place! U could try, but u wouldn't be able to! The food is just amazing, vines and beer are amazing, location is perfect and best of all the people! They really make u feel good and at home! We re-visited this bar thrice... More

Food is really tasty and delicious, and the price is really affordable. The quality can be as good as in a elegant restaurant. The people who works there are really kind and talkative and they offer you some free samples of their very own plates. They give you a big Tapa with a drink. You need to try the tostas... More

Tucked away in a side street, and very busy - not many tourists, like us! We enjoyed the food, and the wines - and had a decent meal of tapas, some hot, some cold - lovely!

Delicious, varied (and inexpensive) tapas and great atmosphere - full of locals as well as tourists. The barman spoke little English but he was very accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. Definitely my favourite bar in Salamanca -

The waiter did not speak any english nor french. We had no idea what to order. We ended up with some tapas. Then we ordered the octopus, which was not available, so the waiter recommended the Jamon with cheese plater, which was overpriced( 14€)and low quality. Yet, we went there for all the reviews.

Great food! Isn't that the main reason you want to visit a restaurant? El Bardo delivers in that area. We had the best Ternero chops in a long time. Also the waiter warned us about the size of the portions so we ordered 3 dishes (we are a family of 5). This was more than enough.

El Bardo is one of my favorite places to eat in Salamanca. You can either eat eat in the restaurant (upstairs) and you will have a delicious meal, or you can stay downstairs and eat "tapas". What I like about this place is that they have more variety than just meat, chorizo, tortilla de patatas, etc. They usually have vegetables,... More

We were sucked in by the cracking atmosphere. The joint was jumping but we squeezed to the front of the bar and snaffled a couple of bar stools. We ordered a couple of tapas and were quickly served. This was in the middle of the September Festival and was all done with Spanish gusto. The food was excellent, the drinks... More
