My wife and I popped into La Posada with the intention of having one drink and then moving on somewhere for dinner. We found the bar to be full of locals and full of character, and what was nice is that they served REAL tapas with each drink and not the odd stale crisp or bullet-like peanut that most other... At 16€ for the menu del do a we thought we were treating ourselves to a special meal in Burgos. Everywhere else is around 12€ at lunchtime. When we went in there was no written menu del dia the lady wanted us to eat a la carte. We pressed for menu del dia. The lady verbally gave us some poor... More

If you like your fish bathing in a sauce of fat and being served by a waiter with the charisma of a stone, this is the place to be! Oh, and you will pay 1 Euro extra for bread that's put on your table although you never ordered it. There are plenty other places nearby, so don't waste your time... More

In the historical part of Burgos in the Plaza St. Domingo de Gusman sits La Posada restaurant. The locals haunt downstairs but it is worth climbing the stairs to the restaurant. We have just eaten the 16 euro menu of the day. It was delicious and they knew which dishes contained gluten and were very accommodating. They even have a... More

In searching for an early lunch, ( Noon ) Most restaurants were not opening until 1 PM. This little family run restaurant is a three story adobe building on a corner and was happy to accommodate us while they were still serving breakfast. They were very friendly and attentive. Food was wonderful and filling. additional name on the building is... More

We had a scheduled 1:30 departure from Burgos and were trying to find a place for lunch that was open and serving at noon. Not much luck - all we could find were coffee and tapas. When we walked into this tiny place where not much English is spoken, it was the same in the tiny bar but when I... More

This restaurant is located on Plaza St Domingo de Guzman, the pictures shown do not resemble the quaint little room upstairs where we ate.Beamed ceilings, lovely bullfighting pictures on all the wall, charming place. (Also enjoyed tapas earlier in the day at the downstairs bar). Wonderful gazpacho served perfectly with bowls of the chopped onions, tomatoes, peppers, croutons, cucumbers, etc... More

Our favorite place to eat Gaspacho - they bring tons of chopped up veggies and croutons. Beware of ordering something that's not on the menu - we ordered an extra side of patatas bravas (a typical side order in Spain that usually cost between one and three euros). They charged us 10 euros claiming that we sat upstairs and ordered... More

We had the menu del dia, it was more expensive than other menus we've had, but it was a treat. We were given a bottle of Rioja crianza to go with our starter of prawns with spaghetti, the main course of bacalao in tomato and pepper sauce with boiled potatoes. We both had desserts as part of the menu, I... More

We visited several times - once for dinner in the restaurant and also for tapas. Staff very obliging and a lot of fun. Seating at ground level in the tapas bar is very limited. Good value restaurant menu and a good range of tapas dishes. Not a target destination but a fine stop on an evening's tapas crawl!
