Atmospheric bar restaurant overlooking the old fishing harbour of Alcalá. Simple food, reasonably priced, stay on today's catch, service fine.

Fish restaurant....I wanted Paella but you need to order 24hrs in advance which is a bit odd. Had a locally fried piece of fish ...it was fine...but I wouldn't race back.

We are sorry for your comments but inform that the Paella is by order because its fresh and take at least 45 minutes to prepare anyway we give you the choise if you don't mind to wait this time. And also let you know that we never do fried fish in our restaurant we only do grilled fresh fish. Thank... More

With a window table right above the harbour looking across the sea to the sunset over Gomera, you could not be even further than the neon and brashness of Los Cristianos mass tourism. The fish is wonderfully fresh, the service very helpful and the ambience relaxed. Go for the specials - especially five types of seafood with the mixed grill -... More

Limited menu but better specials menu. Staff brought out fish to show us before cooking, clearly very proud of his catch. Food was cooked simply but well, we really enjoyed it and would recommend.

We have been about 5 / 6 times in this restaurant. They have fresh fish every day and they are well cooked. You can book for a fish cooked in salt or a Paela, and it does really worth it. The waiters are great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We had a great time Thanks guys.

Lovely restaurant serving fresh fish. We were lucky and got a window seat which gives a lovely view of the sea and the locals passing away the time. The place is not exactly 5* but certainly worth a visit!

Don't be put off by the exterior or the rather outdated internal furnishings This place has provided us with one of the best seafood meals on the Island. The Sea Bass was cooked to perfection & served with Canary Potatoes, proper Mojo Sauce & fresh salad. The service was slow, understanding the order difficult, but the food makes up for... More

In the peaceful fishing town of Alcala but still within easy reach of West Tenerifes most popular tourist resorts, youll find Escondida, a chilled out lounge bar and restaurant with a young, funky feel. Wide windows offer stunning sea views while deep colourful sofas are the perfect place to relax with a delicious mojito before moving through to the restaurant, with the same views but a more formal setting. The compact but varied menu offers everything from tapas dishes for a real taste of Spanish food through to blackboard specials, made using in season local ingredients. Every dish is beautifully presented and a real treat for holidaying foodies after an authentic experience.
