Classic pinxtos/tapas place, where the staff are stressed and not necessarily the nicest, but the tapas are amazing and the sangria even better. Well worth a visit.

After not being able to get into several other restaurants we came across this one who said if we waited 10 mins they would fit us in. We took a wine in the tapas bar whilst waiting. The main waiter was wonderful, despite it being...More

We came here for lunch on our visit to San Sebastián. The menu is ample--lots of choices, and the food was tasty and of good quality. Service was leisurely, as is normal in Spain, but seemed more so for foreigners.

Loved everything about this place! Great food and great service... Shared different dishes and loved them all: champiñones en salsa, pulpo a la gallega, langostinos a la plancha! Great place overall!

We came here on friend's recommendation, but this place far surpassed our expectations. Friendly waiter, delicious food, good wine, welcoming ambience, even to all tourists! I know we just arrived here but it's my favorite place here so far!

We had a wonderful lunch at this longstanding Donostia/San Sebastian mainstay, still serving incredible food. We started with ham croquetas, and fresh anchovies in an olive oil dressing washed down with another Basque favorite that fully compliments this cuisine, Txakoli, a slightly effervescent white wine....More

Outstanding pintxos bar and restaurant. We started with the Iberico jamon, as we did at every bar and restaurant ( I ate it 5 times a day), but the iberico at La Cepa was outstanding. The service, the drink, the atmosphere were all first rate....More

Last stop on the pintxo bar crawl and time for pudding! I'm really not sure how they make this - it's like a deep fried custard - rich, creamy and tasting of cinnamon. Fantastic! They do a pretty mean creme caramel too.

Out of the four pinto bars we ate and drank us through this evening, this was the beat. Very nice service, and the grilled meat was just fantastic. Definitely one of the bars in the old town you should not miss
