It’s a nice café on a small plaza Plaza Santa Maria la Blanca, there are few cafes here, outdoor seating is great! We came here for breakfast a few times. Because our hotel closes by serves cold egg and cold bread which I hate. We...More

This place is along a busy thoroughfare with plenty to watch while you’re enjoying delicious tapas. Ok, I’ve read some complaints that they don’t serve “traditional “ Spanish tapas, but all good cuisine should have room to grow! I think Carmelo’s best is the mixed...More

Stopped here by chance. Had 10 tapas between the four of us and it was plenty. Lovely bottle of Rioja. Food and service were very good with nice ambience.

The food was good but we had the impression that they were aiming at beautiful food more than at the taste itself. The fried potatoes that cone with some of the dishes were excellent!

Really good tapas, very reasonably priced. The Papas Bravas were amazing - had to have another plate. Excellent selection for vegetarians too - which is not always something that you can say about Spanish restaurants.More

Carmela does really good, honest, well-priced tapas. You can go multiple nights and try a variety of different dishes and be assured that everything will be tasty. Definitely somewhere I'd go back to time and time again.

We serve the beers in small glasses, we call "caña de cerveza" and also can serve in "botellines" (small bottles of 25 cl.), all very cold. :)

Description
Carmela Bar is opened since 1994, it is an excellent reference to taste TAPAS, an Andalusian tradition. It is located between the Santa Cruz and La Juderia area, a very distinctive place of the Centre of Seville. This is the perfect place to make a break and sit down in its great terrace near the most important monuments of our city: the Alcazar, the Cathedral and the Giralda. It is also located very near La Carboneria, a famous place for live Flamenco music.
