My husband & I ate here on a Saturday evening during a wedding anniversary weekend stay in Granada. We had been recommended by the host of our lovely small hotel & encouraged by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on tripadvisor. These proved to be well-founded. We...More

We had a long enjoyable lunch on a Spanish holiday. The Paella was the best I have ever had. The place was very family friendly, almost over run by children. Nice light space and enjoyable overall.

We enjoyed a late lunch after touring the Alhambra. The appetizers were interesting and very tasty, particularly the apple and goat cheese app. We ate the lamb and pork entrees-both good, but a little too fatty. Service was good.

We made reservations online before our trip, which is a good idea as this restaurant is usually fully booked. The view of the Alhambra from our window table was breathtaking. Our server was quite friendly and worked with our limited Spanish. The food was just...More

We went to this restaurant because of tripadvisor reviews. What we got was disappointing. Food was okay, wouldn’t say delicious... part of our order was simply forgotten. Staff wasn’t very good in English. Hubby asked if tuna of the starter was raw, they said yes,...More

We had no reservations; they welcomed us in and immediately gave us a table by the window with the most beautiful view of Alhambra. Service was exceptional. They were very friendly, spoke broken English, and just made us laugh! The food was exceptional. The salads...More

Three of us stopped for dinner our first night in Granada (and Spain). Great choice! Our service was impeccable - our server didn't hover but answered all questions, made recommendations (a wonderful local wine) & was always nearby if needed. Appetizers & mains were delivered...More

Description
At the foot of The Alhambra one can find the restaurant Ruta del Azafran. It is in the incomparable setting of the Paseo de los Tristes right in the Albaicin, which is perfect for the traveller that loves to soak up history. Our kitchen, surrounded by this extraordinary scenery, can be found in the same mix of cultures alternating between Arab flavors, international foods and the traditional tastes from Andalucia. It's worth to mention our Tuna Tataki, the Cous-Cous (chicken, lamb or vegetable), Duck Magret, Moorish Pie and also undoubtedly our homemade desserts. All of this accompanied by the best local wines, cavas from the Alpujarra mountains and a special selection of Rioja and Ribera del Duero wines. The restaurant Ruta del Azafran offers different menus for groups that are carefully put together by our chef to provide the most exquisite flavors. All of our meats are Halal and we are ready to accept any request with respect to this. We have a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Our kitchen professionals who make up a highly qualified team assemble all of the dishes in the restaurant. We invite you to visit us: to enjoy the surroundings and taste our exquisite dishes.
