I enjoyed a wonderful meal here with my dad. Daniel was so friendly and entertaining and a great host. We tried to get in one evening but it was fully booked so we were advised to reserve a table for the following evening which we did. We went with Daniel's recommendations for three different courses which were all delicious and loved hearing the stories behind the food and the Spanish and Russian traditions including the vodka shot! It was all round a unique and entertaining experience with wonderful tastes and a highlight of our stay. Would thoroughly recommend!

This small family restaurant is a perfect fit if you like great food and service. We let Daniel the owner chose our courses and WOW were they good, you are welcomed with a taste of a Malaga wine, then a smoked fish taster (Superb) Our first course was half a portion of the smoked fish (fantastic) next was the Spanish mushrooms (great tastes) main was the Tuna (simply perfection) followed by the Iberian pork (again great) This restaurant only has 5 tables and you do have to book, This is a must eat in restaurant with a high quality of food and service at a very good price. just book it, you will not regret it.

It’s a small restaurant that’ll seat a maximum of say 16 people and as it’s very popular, it’s advisable to book. Run by a husband/wife team there is a choice of dishes from two menus, one Spanish, the other Russian but they are discrete and not a fusion. The owner greeted me with a glass of moscatel and a small bread morcel topped with a spoonful of homemade seafood mix paste which was a great introduction. I had a glass of a white Verdejo to accompany my grilled artichoke starter and a bread roll with a dry herb infused butter. Both were delicious. After this starter, myself and all other diners were offered an ice cold vodka shot with a small slice of cucumber. There was a ritual to drinking this and all the restaurant had one at this time. Breath in, breath out, down in one , smell the cucumber, eat the cucumber! I opted for the tuna steak, a generous portion, perfectly prepared and accompanied with a small selection of greens. For dessert I had Morcilla de chocolate, some intensely flavoured dark chocolate ice cream with some chocolate salami and a small coffee on the side. I was offered a liqueur on the house which was a nice touch to finish my experience. Aperitif, starter, main, dessert, bottle of sparkling water, two glasses of wine and a coffee in a first rate all for less than €50. So, great value too. Food is excellent, service is attentive and excellent, English is spoken well and I’d say if you’re in Malaga, this is one experience not to be missed.

Very highly recommended restaurant. Don't be fooled because it is located on an inconspicuous street, from the inside it is a paradise. The attention from Daniel is unbeatable. Friendly, kind and very professional. They welcome you with a complimentary glass of muscat and an appetizer of smoked trout (since smoked fish is their specialty). As for the menu, its originality lies in its fusion of Spanish/Russian cuisine and there is no need to worry if you don't know what each dish is because Daniel explains it to you and recommends it wonderfully. In our case we tried the smoked platter, blinis, cheburekis and fish pelmeni. All very good. Also during the meal, Daniel teaches you in a master class with a lot of art, how to drink vodka. Quite an experience!!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Malaga is a busy city full of hustle and bustle and the second you step through the door you are greeted with calm. Everything slows down to your pace and you can really relax and enjoy your dinner. Daniel gave us a very warm welcome and a glass of Malagan wine to enjoy whilst we perused the menu. He spent time explaining the food, with its Spaish/Russian/Dutch twist. Daniel smokes his own fish which was lovely, very delicate. We ordered our courses as we went rather than all up front, which was great. The tuna was pefectly cooked and the wine recommendation a perfect match. The restaurant itself is cosy and interesting decor and soft music give it just the right vibe. We were even offered a lesson on how to drink vodka the russian way. It is very clear the Daniel and his wife are very passionate about what they do and very much go the extra mile to offer their customers a pleasant experience.

We went as a group of 9 friends from a gastronomic society for dinner at the end of April and we enjoyed a fantastic experience. At first, we were surprised by the place, very small and cozy. It was us and a table of 2 people who left quite soon. And I didn't think we could fit more. The food, Russian cuisine, very delicious and prepared with great taste and love. The host, Daniel, just great. Endearing to unexpected limits. He is one of those people for whom you only wish that things go well in life from the first moment you meet him. It is about creating a unique atmosphere in which you feel in your living room having dinner with friends. All this at a very very moderate price. We never share opinions but I think we owed you one. Thank you very much Daniel

This is a class restaurant. I came here with my wife tonight because of the ratings on Trip Advisor and it has lived up to expectation. The food is amazing, the ambience is even better and the owner is brilliant. He explains everything, the shot of vodka warms you up and is a must with the smoked fish. Book early as it's small restaurant.

What can I say to describe the food here that will compliment it enough? When I say the ratings for this restaurant were all excellent I knew I had to visit. Unfortunately, it was all booked up for the next 3 days so my husband and I nearly missed out! So book early. We got a booking for lunch on our last day and weren’t disappointed. The proprietor explains what each dish is and makes recommendations to your tastes. The salmon blinis were delicious as was the Russian honey cake. You need to go here.

Wonderful restaurant in the Perchel neighborhood. The place is cozy and very quiet, Dani is a charmer and recommends and explains dishes with kindness The cuisine is a mixture of Russian and Spanish cuisine. The menu is extensive but any dish you order is a good idea. I recommend the Russian salad, the Smoking board is a whole show of flavors, chicken crepes with sauce, grilled tuna, Iberian prey, blinis with 3 sauces and Russian style boletus

The atmosphere and the owner were amazing and made us feel us very welcome to the restaurant. We had a selection of items from the Russian menu and especially enjoyed the smoked fish platter. The owner smoked the fish himself and it was very nice touch as smoked fish is not common in Spain. When I mentioned I’m from the Baltics he even said “enjoy your food” in my language. Very nice touch! Recommend if you’re looking for something different. They also have a Spanish food section and the prices are very wallet friendly.

This cosy restaurant turned into what seemed like a private dinning club with new-found friends as the evening progressed. All thanks to our marvellous host Daniel who came up with great menu recommendations and who orchestrated two rounds of vodka and gherkin amongst all his diners. Our meal included smoked fish, Broad beans sautéed in brandy, pork fillets and crepe Suzette. Booking recommended. I emailed them my request and they confirmed within an hour.

We really enjoyed our meal here last night. The owner has a menu with Russian Spanish and Dutch elements. He recommends dishes for you to try and the atmosphere is very friendly. There are only a few tables so booking recommended. We had small broad beans with ham and brandy as one of our courses. Easy to get to by bus.

This restaurant serves good food in combination with a superb atmosphere. The multi langual owner/cook combines his passion for food with an entertaining and friendly "guide" to Malaga. As this restaurant has limited seating, reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Wow! What a fantastic time we had at this welcoming, quirky, charming, unforgettable restaurant. The owners, Spanish Daniel and his Russian-born wife Natalia have created a real gem. Natalia is a really talented chef, creator of delicately flavoured, finely tuned Russian classics. Her beef shashliks, mushrooms in sour cream and dill and bliny pancakes stuffed with meat were just exquisite. Daniel goes to the fish market daily and smokes his own fish every morning. Daniel gives everyone in the restaurant a shot of vodka, drunk in the Russian style with a real sense of ceremony. The wines are delicious. Our evening at this restaurant was the highlight of our trip to Malaga!! I will never forget it.

We entered the place after all the positive reviews, but were doubting as it is only inside seating and the place felt dark and small. The food however was delicious and the owner is serving thing with passion and explaining what to visit in Malaga. would definitely recommend, and even more if the place has outside seating options.
