Went for lunch with friends, had no idea about the Rick Stein connection - thank goodness we we not aware, otherwise we nmight have said "tourist trap - avoid". It was super. Great tapas at sensible prices. Exceptionally friendly owner and staff. We loved it. Easy short walk from the centre of Cadiz old town and we would go back... More

Restricted range of tapas, we prefer hot, rather than the cold charcuterie which is staple offering. The bar is very interesting in itself and worth a visit. Our apartment was next door so we were able to observe the activity regularly. Although this place trades on it's reputation as an authentic Spanish bar what you rarely see is a typical... More

Thanks to Rick Stein we found this remarkably "authentic" spanish bar. Great atmosphere and simple inexpensive tapas. A must in Cadiz!

Great place for tapas. Authentic Spanish bar covered in Bullfighting memorabilia. Tapas are served on sheets of greaseproof paper and they specialise in cured meats. We had their chorizo which was excellent and some queso, which was also lovely with a citrusy marmalade. Well priced and a nice atmosphere - busy with locals and both Spanish and foreign tourists.

If you want a real Spanish experience in an "upright eating and drinking" bar, this is it. A very busy place in an area with a good choice of local bars an restaurants. Variations of meat tapas is an obvious speciality and the interior rooms (2) are great examples of non-designed authenticity. A must visit.

This is a superb venue where your best plan is to let the staff guide you. We had brown anchovies, pork slices, salami, white boccerones, and tuna and tomato and a great red that came by the glass and was very well bodied. Be outside the door by 2015 to get a table - bar's best - or stand and... More

We were there last Sunday night for tapas... it does what it says in the tin! Delicious delicate tapas, great service, our waiter Dany gave us great recommendations and kept the lovely food coming! The wine was also great! Definitely will be visiting again!

Great tapas, ome og which come served on paper. But don't be put off, they taste wonderfull. Bluefin tuna was oustanding and so was everything else. Good wine and sherry. Interesting decoration. Gets crowded, unsurprisingly, so come early.
