Went here on a tip from a friend and boy was she right! They serve traditional German cuisine but elevated to the next level. Everything was super delicious and at fairly reasonable prices. The restaurant is set in a very unique location with roots to the 1500s. Great atmosphere!!

Spotted this on TripAdvisor on a previous visit but did not get a chance to try. We called in early to make sure we got a table this time, well worth the visit. Food was excellent, my colleague had the sole and I had the trout, both good size portions and excellent quality, so much so there was no room... More

I've been trying to eat hear for a while. Kind of strange front door as it opens itself as you reach for it. It opened so I went in. Nautical theme and had both English and German menus which is always a help if traveling alone. I went for the Wiener schnitzel and was not disappointed. Very large portion of... More

A historical setting does not always denote quality but here it merely compliments it. The building is certainly spectacular with wooden sailing ships hanging from the ceiling of the main dining area. The food is excellent whether you choose meat or fish. Local specialities compliment a well balanced menu, more expensive than other restaurants in the city but but value... More

I visited with my friends on a Saturday night. The restaurant was buzzing. The atmosphere was amazing. Model ships and lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Dark art lining the walls and illuminated script underneath. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our food was delicious with very generous portions. We didn't bother with any starters!!! We did share a traditional dessert... More

The perfect place. Great food we had roasted eel with dill and parsley potatoes. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The greatest is the atmosphere. 500 years of history preserved everywhere in the restaurant. A really unique place.

We were welcomed by a very polite and friendly waiter who helped us all pick the yummiest dishes. The fish was very very good, and the sides were very nice. The ambience is incredible and it is a "must" in Luebeck. There's something for everyone, and everything (we had 4 different dishes at our table) was very good.

My partner booked us a table at Schiffergesellschaft for our anniversary dinner. The place has a great history and is wonderfully decorated. Our food was delicious (definitely get the grünkohl if you visit in winter) and they had a great selection of wine. The prices are definitely higher than a typical German restaurant, especially in an area such as Lübeck,... More

This menu was extensive and offered none of the typical schnitzel, spaetzel, or speissbraten. I had duck (ente) which was phenomenal. The hardest part was picking a dish from their endless selection. I could easily have gone here for a week and tried authentic German every day. Highly recommended!

This is a really lovely traditional style Lubeck restaurant serving local dishes and regional favourites. Specialising in seafood (which is excellent), the staff are friendly and it's not overly expensive, but is at the slightly more expensive end.
