We ended up here by pure accident due to heavy traffic on Autobahn. Close to the hotel we found and checked out Shady restaurant. The whole family loves Lebanese food. Quite a few people at the restaurant so we decided to go in. Great welcome by the owner. We had hummus, kibbe, taboule, chicken skewers, kebab and lamb stew. All... More

"Arabic (Nazareth Cuisine) food with modern twist - possibly one of the best restaurant in Leipzig". We have dined here on several occasions and each time the food, service and ambiance has been just amazing. We always opt for the tasting menu and I cannot do it justice by trying to describe the various combinations and flavors in words. Owner... More

My first time in Leipzig for a medical conference. I'm from Saudi Arabia where libanese cuisine is very popular with very famous restaurants but in Europe i don't excpect overstanding libanese cuisine, however this time i was wrong. This restaurant managed by a palastenian cheif (Shadi) succeeded in bringing very fine and well made libanese and palastenian dishes with fesh... More

Being of Lebanese descent and having thoroughly experienced the Lebanese dining scene in London, I can say that Shady restaurant is special (on par with Ishbilia Restaurant in Kensington and Al-Waha Restaurant in Westminster). Shady is a genuine individual and this is personified in every aspect of his cherished establishment. The restaurant is often full and if you book in... More

Friendly environment and excellent service. The owner makes you feel at home. You have the impression you are in a mediterranean island in Leipzig.

We visited the restaurant in a group of three and were welcome in a green lit restaurant. Two of us shared a mixed starter plate. Actually, we ordered the single person size of it. We were presented with a collection of highest quality food and an explosion of flavours. The amount of things would have been a main course for... More

Regularly have meals with large groups in Leipzig. Was one of the worst experienced so far. The owner complained 3 people did not turn up, despite the fact he was not really turning business away. This sometimes can not be avoided. Rude and impolite service proceeded, whereby it was clear a mood was taken out on the clientèle. All the... More

Wonderful owner/host who makes everyone feel so welcome. Food was excellent & consistent -we ate here three times. Recommend the hummous and the lamb stew. If you can't decide just ask them to make some plates for your table to share. Also very good Lebanese red wines.

We have been at the restaurant considering its well-renowned reputation. However, we have been disappointed in all possible ways. What most was disappointing was the service (with exception of the waitress): we were not treated as clients, the owner of the place behaved impossibly by arguing with us through the entire restaurant that water was not served along the meals,...
