My husband and I ate dinner here tonight. As a veg, I traditionally struggle with German food bc of the overreliance on potatoes and tonight was no different in terms of initially looking at the menu. However, the mushroom soup sounded appetizing and the waitress when asked said she could give me potato dumplings sans bacon. My husband got the... More

We had lunch there yesterday with my wife. The restaurant is quite nice ad well as a helpful staff who let my wife use her knowledge in German even though they all saw we're not from Germany. Food wasn't absolutely fabulous but good enough for the low price and the location. We recommend it anyway! :)

Tripadvisor recommended this place for breakfast... bu it does not serve breakfasts!.We were waiting for the servant to bring coffee and water for 20 minutes. During Cristmass time its full and therefore kitchen is slow, so we were waiting for quie a while to get our dishes. Food good, but nothing outstanding.

Hot tasty food with a good service, cannot go wrong on your first night in Trier. We will venture further afield for future nights.

Zum Domstein is very much hit or miss. The schnitzel was a miss--fatty and bland-- while the lamb was ok and the curried chicken was very good. Service was brusque even by German standards and despite having reserved a table, we felt rushed throughout the meal. There are better places in Trier.

What a lovely restaurant around the corner from Dom Trier! The staff was great, and very friendly. The food was delicious and the menu was surprisingly varied. Highly recommend this property to any and all visitors and locals alike.
