Good food, good service, nice surroundings. The only downside was I felt like my omelette was tasting of iron from the metal pan it was served in.

What attracted us to POMP was its lovely outdoor seating, with a view of the fountain and square. The menu is in German and English, and we had a fine dinner at a reasonable price.

Ate here, outside, at a Sunday lunchtime. Unusual menu concept for Brits - all themed on breakfast. Great food! Loved the Birchermüesli. Great staff - very patient with non German speaking Brits.

What really made this dinner good was our server. We arrived at POMP tired out and hungry. The weather was hot. We sat outside, and our server made every effort to make the meal a good one. Despite the fact that she was very busy, she talked with me about what was in several different dishes, and also advised on... More

Everything about the breakfast was fabulous - from the freshly squeezed grapefruit served with an ice bowl to the wonderful muesli and omelettes with country potatoes. And the Swiss breakfast beat them all for variety and quality. No one could leave hungry surely!

Despite its slightly shabby appearance, this popular cafe still retains an art deco air and has the widest breakfast choice in Mainz. The food is consistently good, the daily specials are interesting, the ingredients are are fresh and there is a wide choice of seating possibilities. The waiters and waitresses seem to be chosen more for their looks than for... More

Menu was in both German and English. There were at least 10 different breakfast meal options. Prices were very reasonable. It was a nice way to start the day.

I like going here from when this cafe opened in the 90ies. I like its Art Deco interior and that you can sit outside in summer (along a slightly noisy road though). They have a good menu, do nice breakfasts. However what I particularly like is their lemon cake and their homemade lemonade. They neither have free wifi or decaf... More

A very impressive choice of delicious breakfasts.Something for almost any taste. Good freshly squeezed juices and homemade lemonade. Just make sure that you're not in a hurry. This is a breakfast to enjoy slowly.
