We had a fantastic meal here on a busy Friday night. The place was packed but after a quick drink in the snug area they found us a table in the busy eating area. All 6 of us order some kind of meat dish and nobody was left disappointed. Huge portions, well cooked and the beer kept turning up. A... More

If you want to see a really local, traditional restaurant, go there. No tourist trap, mainly residents as guests, a few meters from the city center. I love it and can fully recommend this place.

We went with a group of five and ended up sitting in 'Fuchsbau', their cellar. Meines are available in many languages, the food is very traditional German. Large portions, friendly service and good beer. Worth a stop. As most places, it's cash only.

In my five nights in Düsseldorf, I ate here twice! Both times it was packed, but we were able to smoosh into some communal tables. They had the best Altbier of the three I tried, and very good food too. I had the roast half duck one night (too much food for me, and the potato dumplings were not my... More

Stopped in for lunch on our way through Dusseldorf. We based this on TripAdvisor ranking and we were glad we did! Fantastic place for lunch with a fantastic waiter. We love German food and had a fantastic lunch. Thank you!

It´s a real pity. First time on my life I´ve treated in a racist way. We were a group of five and when we asked to pay with credit card the problems started. The waiter said it was a short bill to pay with credit card and left us alone waiting for more than 15m. When we ask again to... More

We visited this place as part of a tour of Dusseldorf's Alt beers. The taproom was a little more open than some of the others we had been at that evening, but it was still tough to find a seat. Fortunately some friendly locals invited us to share their table and shortly thereafter, beer just magically started appearing in front... More

It is a buzzing place, on the weekend, you can really immerse yourself in the authentic German atmosphere. You can see, that local families come here to have a proper meal, celebrate and it is not a fake. The staff is super friendly, even though my German is not fluent (but maybe being a girl helps :)). Our waiter decided... More
