Second time in Düsseldorf, second time here! It is one of the best local restaurants. We went without reservation and we wait for 10-15' having the first beer until we get a table. We just ask for plates of local tastes and everything was perfect. From sausages, pig legs etc. In my next visit I will definitely visit it again.... More

Brauerei Schumacher is a beer hall with all the casual atmosphere that goes with it. The place was loud and had a very touristy feel about it, which was probably why my hotel recommended it. The only thing they did me wrong by. The dinner menu I was shown, which was in English, was surprisingly limited and made up of... More

Brauerei Schumachers Stammhaus in Oststrasse is a must-visit destination when in Duesseldorf. Why? 1. The alt bier is one of the best. Beautifully balanced and a delight to drink. 2. The building although rebuilt after destruction during WWII feels much older and "authentic". 3. The Koebes are some of the best: efficient, helpful, always ready to engage in a bit... More

Not true, there is a great place in Zurich, but I was in Dusseldorf. Such a busy place - they obviously have the right formula, but it is not my style, so perhaps my review is not for you. A great waiter, regularly bringing beer for everyone, adding atmosphere. As there were approx. 12 of us on a long table,... More

We went in as part of the alt beer safari- I loved it as the beer is very good and the atmosphere is very good. The Braueri seems popular with local people so it was nice to be able to see a great mix of tourists and locals. You will find a variety of the local dark beer here but... More

So the beer just gets poured. No asking. Loved it. The menu was in German, I was with 6 international co-workers and we spoke 9 languages but not one word of German. Well we managed to order the best thing on the menu! I never ate so much pork in my entire life. Great night. And extra credit if you... More

One of 5 breweries in Düsseldorf which make Altbier. Here you only got Altbier and Weissbier. A good kitchen and lovely service , and you are not alone. Here you meet the locals .

The atmosphere is liek it should be in a german bierhaus, loud, excited and nice. We got a huge tray of meat, meat and again meat. There were pork in many different ways on the plate. The hausbier is also very tasty.

We were a group of four (3 adults and one minor) non-German-speaking Scots who were only there one afternoon for the beer (and one coke). The place had been recommended by a German friend, and we were not disappointed: the beer (Alt) was great, and the man who poured the beers and served us was a real character - in... More
