Extremely slow service, rude waiter. Served other tables first and got angry when asked about status of food. Will never visit again.

Traditional apple wine served in bembel jugs. Accompanied by schnitzel which was very tasty but huge for a small plate. Finished off by a lovely glass of mispelchen. Would recommend for an authentic Frankfurt experience.

We sought out this apple wine tavern as it was recommended by our guide book. It was worth the effort. The applewine( cider) is served in a special glass and is dry. Natalie who runs front of house has perfect English and looked after us so well. We had some cheese and onions to srart with as this is traditional... More

It was our last night in Germany and we hadn't had schnitzel yet. We were a party of five and the reviews looked good so we figured we'd check it out. We got there just before opening and sat at an outdoor picnic table in the garden. Our server was very friendly with a great sense of humor and made... More

This restaurant serves good authentic German food. We enjoyed the German meal seating in the open along with a tumbler of Apelwein. The food is typical German and I tried the schnitzel. Though it was a weekend the restaurant was quite full.

One of the best snitzel dishes ever had. Also tried the pork leg and spätzle, really tasty. Pleasant service. Will return for sure.

This was simply some of the best German food I've had in a long time, outside of homecooking. The schnitzel was delicious, the sides were fresh made, the gravies were light, yet favorful, and best yet - they have a great green sauce. There is a good selection of food options here, including chicken schnitzel (for those looking for a... More

We stumbled upon this gem in the old part of Sachenhausen and am so glad we did. The setting, food and service were exactly what I had hope my first meal in Frankfurt would be. The waiter was excited to explain the local dishes and since the place wasn't too crowded we had a lovely conversation with him. The schnitzel... More

Fantastic applewein bar. Located in Sachsenhausen, just off of the river, the place has a garden and tables inside. We came on a Friday night and were promptly seated at a shared table with some friendly folks. We promptly ordered two appleweins. They have English food menus so we ordered a grilled pork knuckle and a pork schnitzel with green... More

A very kind local pointed us in the direction of this restaurant and we are very thankful! We were immediately welcomed by our server as we walked through the door - the atmosphere was wonderful and warm. Our server suggested the Apple Wine for our beverage, it's an acquired taste but was very fun to try the local favorite. We... More
