Had a delicious meal. The oysters were very fresh and the fish tasty in a good sauce with al dente vegetables. Except one of my guests thought his mashed potato was watery and maybe not freshly cooked.Service was good, but when I asked for the wine list the waiter insisted on recommending wines. The wine was delicious but more than... More

This is the kind of restaurant that think it serves executive French/Japanese food but doesn't get near it. Had the shrimp/advocado starter and the sashimi starter - both average and in-between dishes but over priced. Main course was curry wurst with pommes frites and the pommes were drained with truffles which made the truffles seemed completely wasted on cheap French... More

The cafe has the elegance of France, touched and structured with German skills. Excellent pastery and coffee, combined with a relax atmosphere and wonderfull service...

I have eaten at this restaurant several times on visits to Hamburg. I have, so far, only eaten at lunch and find the lunch menu to be excellent value for such well-prepared food. Last time I had a luscious pumpkin soup with sprinkles of roasted pumkin seed, followed by boiled beef as the main. Boiled beef sounds like a heavy... More

Pretty central and with sunny terrace, this restaurant draw my attention with the inviting+mouthwatering (seafood-)menu: Jacobsmuscheln, Krake, etc...When entering the place (which was 1/3 full) we were told very unfriendly: we are full. After I questioned this in perfect German twice we got a sunny table but were told our food will take at least one hour. We said no... More

This was our first visit with the new proprietor in charge - it must have been about two years since management changed. The place still is very well frequented and I was happy to have booked a table for our lunch. The menu offered some very tempting but quite expensive choices with a variety of simpler dishes only available at... More

Hamburg has more bridges than Venice, want a bet?.And there are not many small restaurants in the Italian jewel, with just eight tables, view on a canal,a bridge, with an exceptional cook, who does not thrive for the stars, but fresh, surprising, cuisine. It is Northern German, meaning splendid fish, tasty beef, deer, lentil soup, bouillabaise, shrimps. If you ever make it to Hamburg, reserve early, since this restaurant is a Geheimtip, meaning the locals want to keep the... The cashier has stolen 15 euros from my credit card. Beware to give the staff your cards. The food is below average.
