The food was delicious! I enjoyed a special trout dish with a wonderful appetizer. The waitstaff was a bit challenged with a party of 13, the orders for drinks were a bit slow as well. That being said I would definitely recommend the restaurant for parties of 6 or less. Looking forward to my netxt visit.

Went here just for dessert and had what seemed to be a "deconstructed" apple pie. Absolutely to die for! Had a variety of other choices. Would definite come back to try the others.

We came across this restaurant and what a find. Food was fantastic. Mosel wine was wonderful and Melanie the waitress could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended

We were invited there by business/family friends. Restaurant was full, but service was quick and helpful. Their dishes were excellent. I ordered crispy duck with cranberry sauce and it was most delicious sauce I tried. Definitely will come back again,

We made reservations about 2 weeks ahead to dine at Cox an a Saturday night. The restaurant was full but we were taken immediately to our reserved table. The ambiance is quite simple, and it is noisy. However, the food is excellent. We started with a Roquefort mousse and tempura of soft shelled crab. We chose fish for our mains... More

2nd. visit to Cox was as good as the first: Wonderful french classic brasserie ambience and creative bistro cooking. Cox is a Hamburg institution in Lange Reihe with classic yet modern cuisine and a wonderful service. The winelist is short but good and reasonably priced offering a fine and fresh french and german selection. Service is also excellent, friendly and... More

We went in hope to find a bit of a Mediterranean-fusion experience: all hopes were fulfilled! The quality of the dishes was excellent blending different flavors in refined ways. We had cold avocado soup with sour creme and smoked herring, home made blood sausage with lentils, truffle filled fish and fresh cod fish. Desert a prosecco soup with lime sorbet.... More

This is a brilliant little restaurant, serving honest food without much further ado. As a starter I had the pickled salmon, and that was absolutely to die for. The wildboard bratwurst that I chose for the main was also well above average. Serving staff is friendly and knowledgable, again without much further ado. - I look forward to coming back... More

A great local find in Hamburg, busy, good atmosphere and wonderful service, they looked after us when we were asking what they suggested for us based on our German trip so far and a nice touch giving us a complementary asparagus soup after we had a chat about white asparagus in Germany, we made a reservation so recommend you do...
