We stopped in for lunch on a day trip to Potsdam. We both had soup and it was really delicious. A good sized portion plus bread with it. It was really reasonably priced at less than 5 euros, however, we also got a large bottle of water that was the same price as the soup. A good lunch and I... More

I often come here because of my tours in the city and I find the place to be just great! Quality of food is high, service is very friendly and approachable... The prices are quite decent, value for money is quite high . I recommend their Kisches, they are quite tasty and come with a big salad .... Excellent!

My boyfriend and I were expecting a mediocre lunch in town catering to tourists and were SO happy to come upon Backstoltz. Cute outdoor seating on a street right off of a main drag. Limited daily changing menu - all delicious sounding options. Hilarious waiter who translated the menu in perfect English. I had gnocchi and my bf had the... More

I was there for breakfast. I had a scrambled eggs with herbs, which was very well done. Cappuccino was strong, probably the best I had while in Berlin. Staff was friendly, they translated the menu to English for me. I would return should I visit postdam again.

This place is always buzzing and there are good reasons for that. Food is very good: portions are generous while the drinks are excellent. The sidewalk tables are a wonderful place for people watching and enjoying Potsdam's day-to-day life. Very good cake!

The Backstoltz restaurants are two places just next to each other. They are small and cosy, rather with a rustique charme, which creates a private atmosphere. They serve delicious breakfast, lunch, cakes and dinner. I would recommend the quiche and the selfmade cakes. The staff is very polite and during the summer the outdoor seating is awesome to watch people... More

On a day trip to Potsdam we stumbled in here and were very pleasantly surprised. It was amazing! This tiny café has only about six or seven small tables. Very cozy atmosphere. We had a cream based soup with vegetables and pork. So tasty! And it was really cheap. A very good place for lunch or a cup of coffee... More

Very delicious, highlight in Potsdam! Different types of breakfast, very nice service. The French and the Nuremberger breakfast are must haves!

We had been in Potsdam before and somebody had recommended us this place, however we couldn't eat there because it was closed. The second time we were there, we were lucky it was open and very happy because the food was DELICIOUS. I had a pasta with lobster sauce and salmon and then we had one of the best cheese... More
