Was quite busy, it was ok nothing special. Not for special dinner plans. For a drink and a sandwich or burger ok place to go. Big and in my opinion strong drinks

Used to be great, but it has now sold out to the worst type tourists. You know, the young heavy drinking because I'm in Europe kind of folk. It's also sad when service staff is not able to speak German -- might be welcoming to tourists, but it keeps out all the natives who don't speak (or are not so... More

Hannibal - set in the heart of a very lively "Kiez" around Simon-Dach-Strasse, offers great seating, both indoors and outdoors. And good food at very reasonable prices. Very, very friendly service :-)

Food was really good! It was a fun change to sit on couches instead of in a booth. Great food and service for the price. Our family of 5 (including 2 adults, 2 teens and a tween) ate a delicious and filling dinner for 50 euro! That is unheard of for us. I would definitely recommend!

Quite average cocktail bar. We went there with a group of 10 people after a concert in Kreuzberg. Service was extremely slow, we ordered a few cocktails, coffee and beer - nothing special, but it took at least 15 minutes to get our drinks - and the bar wasn't even close to being full. We also had some nachos and... More

We ordered some drinks and food at Hannibal in Kreuzberg. The bar itself looks kinda Kreuzberg, so that was not bad. The service is horrible and unfriendly. We asked if the door could be closed because of the cold, the unfriendly waitress didnt want to, so we had to sit in the cold. Still thank you for that! When we... More

This is a great bar for cocktails at very reasonable prices. It works out cheaper the get 1.5 litre cocktail in a pitcher with several glasses than individual drinks. The food is good for bar food/snacks and reasonable prices The only down side is it quite smoky on an evening as there is an indoor smoking area. It has a... More

We had a lovely meal for lunch this afternoon for a resonable price. The service was good and efficient from a lovely bar lady/waitress. It is well situated across the laundromat so we popped in while doing laundry. Do not rely on the free wifi...it does not work!

Nice, almost typical place for Kreuzberg. Good cocktails and you can even chose between a cheaper and premium version which uses better quality spirits. But it takes quiet some time before you get those as service is rather slow. Food is alright as well, although nothing exciting.

Visiting with friends we stopped by the local drinking hub, Hannibal, a couple times. This spot had a great atmosphere for drinking with friends and was full of life on the Friday evening. Would visit Hannibal again for that. We also are here which was fine as well. Service was a little slow but food did the job kept us... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
