Since 2011, I’ve been going to this bar whenever I go to Berlin. They have a huge beer menu and so far they were able to serve any beer we have requested with the original glasses. I like wheat beers so I usually go for them from the menu. Among the wheat beers, I recommend you to skip the ones... More

This is a cosy looking bar that immdiately draws you in. There were a lot of staff on, but we werent shown to a table, so we just went and sat down on one. The appeared to be a good selection of beers at the bar, so I was happy to stay there. The waitress gave us a drinks menu... More

I'm 42 years old. I haven't done the math of how many bars and restaurants I've been visiting during my time on this planet. But I know that this one is the worst. My girlfriend and I ordered two dishes. I got mine after an hour. After one and half hour my girlfriend had to go to the bar and... More

Thought we'd pop in here on a Thursday evening, as we were starving and looking forward to some local food and this looked ideal! The selection of beers also attracted us inside. However, as we walked in it wasn't clear whether the service policy was at the table or the bar. We waited at the bar and at one point... More

A tour guide recommended this place and it did not disappoint. The feel of the place is great and the food is even better. Recommend the schnitzel and potatoes - insanely good and the dessert is too. HUGE selection of beer, alcohol and drinks. Would've given this place 5* as the ambiance and the food was excellent (even had live... More

We put a little too much emphasis on the food reviews for this one, unfortunately. Short walk from Friedrichstrasse, with a great selection of beers. Buzzing atmosphere - a very popular local pub. We ordered our very first currywurst (heck, had to try it) along with Potato Salad. The Potato Salad was EXCELLENT, but the currywurst was not what we... More

Walked over from my hotel for a relaxed dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Wait staff were prompt after taking the order. Schnitzel and potato salad were lovely. It was busy and nice atmosphere.

"A place where you can find more than 100 different types of beers 🍻. For instance --as the picture shows--, a wonderful and tasty mango beer Dju Dju. Excellent for beer lovers."

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
