The waitress who served us was not speaking German nor English, she did not understand my request. The food was tasting all the same and quiet average. The rice arrive 10 min before the actual lamb. The drink were very very sweet and the mojito wasn't made according to the recipe. The value for money? Way too expensive for the... More

We got really nice food, good sized portion, that we couldn't even finish and they where accommodating so we could take it home with us. The staff were really friendly and food came out fast. We had nice cocktails with our meal (large variety to choose from), and a little free shot at the end. Couldn't fault the dinning experience.... More

Really great welcome - sat outside initially then moved inside. Menu was extensive and very filling, food was fresh and tasty, quickly severed and really delicious. Portions were very large - I'd definitely go for sharing. Good value, great food and very good staff

I went in by coincidence because my hotel was across the street. The food was delivered very fast and was A great value for money. I paid 10 eur for a main dish with salad and rice. I live in Vienna but definately you will never find in Vienna this quality for this price. Very very satisfied with my choice... More

The food was certainly good. Got some lamb with rice and salad. The waiters are messy and somehow rude. The ventilation is terrible, the place was packed and the temperature inside was to high. In my opinion so many tables in one tiny area. I guess just to get more money. It is somehow terrible to mix your talks with... More

As I was in a Singaporean restaurant I ordered a Singapore Sling, drink that i've had plenty times before (in Singapore!). When I tasted my drink it tasted like the worst cough syrup you've ever tried, not like a Singapore Sling. I had to return it after two sips, but still pay for it. On the positive side the place... Came here on our first night in Berlin and loved it so much we ended up returning on our final night! Cannot fault this place in the slightest, amazing food, cocktails and services. Reasonably priced too. One thing I will just mention is that the main courses are HUGE, so it might be worth just ordering one to share between... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
