Ramen noodles were good but soup base was weak. I ordered the miso soup with chashu but the soup did not taste like miso soup at all. Chashu was not tasty at all. However, the gyoza was very tasty though. Red bean ice cream is delicious too!

We got there by the way and very supprised from the food and the atmosphere. The sitting is together where ever its availble. There is no music so you can enjoy the company and the raman (veg) was very good. It was my first time and not the last.

Whenever I'm craving for some japanese hot meals this is my go-to place. It is a bit small, but definetly worth it!

Very good place to eat very good japanese ramen. The place is very nice and welcoming. Ok, you have to share the long tables with other people, then no privacy, but you can enjoy the company. The place is perfect for lunchtime with friends or colleagues. The menu offers only noodles but there is a wide choice of. The overall... More

This place looks like a small hole in the wall restaurant, but it has a large space behind in the back so you could be a large group. It's very popular at lunchtime and people are queueing up. Their dumplings are really tasty (I always chose the dumplings), but the other japanese noodle things looked good also. Charming place and... More

I ordered a Miso Ramen. But the test is very disappointing. It lacks flavor of Miso. Maybe it is localized to fit the taste of Germans. (Anyway, to a Japanese, it is not tasty.) The service is even worse. I asked if I can take a table outside because it was full inside. They said yes. So I waited more... More

I had a really tasty and spicy Ramen with ground beef and vegetables at Makoto. The place was pretty crowded (at 3 pm) but I got lucky and got a nice table outside. The stuff at Makoto was nice and the food delicious. So I can really recommend the place.

We went to this place few weeks after visiting Japan, so we were rather hesitant. However, the ramen -the place speciality- were very good, with a lot of options to choose among. The prices are very affordable, too. So you get a great value for your money. The atmosphere is very cool: the interior design is quite interesting with a... More

Is Monsieur Vong from across the street full? Are you just looking for a nice ambience in on of Berlin's nicest part of the city? This could be the perfect place for you. Are you a ramen lover? Japanese food enthusiast? Steer clear. Tried 2 different ramens and both were equally pretty disappointing. This place still gets 2 stars from... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
