If you want to experience eating in the dark and only have this opportunity to do it I suggest coming here as you will get everything you wanted. It's such a unique experience I suggest doing it despite the negatives I'm about to list. Only if you have other alternatives in different cities from a different company and have to... More

This was a very moving experience. But VERY expensive, and food was not meeting the standard. We ordered our food and wine from menu before being lead to the table. The food was expensive, hence high expectations. And the waiter would support us and guide us. We got into the black box, and were guided to the table, where we... More

This is a really fun experience. Eating and talking in total darkness was something new and exiting. The evening started good with a nice welcome and a drink. We then got escorted to the table which was an event in itself. Then the food came. It was fun to try eating in the dark but what we got to eat... More

Without going into detail which would spoil the surprise - this place is a must for people who are open to try something new and unexpected. Food is high quality and the wine was good. Service was excellent from out partially sighted waiter who looked after us brilliantly.

My husband (Danish) thought this was stupid and too expensive- until we did it. Now, it's the thing our entire family is still talking about - months later! The menu describes a feeling - so the food is a surprise. My gourmet cook husband couldn't believe how great everything tasted! Our blind waitress was so incredible that we wanted to... More

Restaurant in complete darkness. Went for 3 course meal without soup. Usually love eating out in lots of different restaurants including fine dining. Was intrigued and approached evening with positive attitude and excitement. Darkness was great, slightly unsettling but pitch black and unique. Starter arrived, iceberg lettuce, store bought cold meat, under seasoned, too much mustard and overpowering pickled flavour-... More

We had a great experience. The first 15 min are difficult, till you get used to the darkness and the food starts to arive. We went with the surprise menu, and it was the best choice! I strongly recommend this experience and the food.

Of course there are no pictures of the food that I ate because it was all done in complete darkness. It was a strange feeling but worth doing again. Our waitress Sandy was amazing and how she maneuvered us around the space was scary cool, to trust someone completed to get you to where you needed to go

Very unusual eating experience, obviously.different but was really fun, especially when one of us got mixed up on which course was which and tried to eat the salad as a soup

This was so much better than we (the adults) expected! The teenagers loved this experience (never stopped talking the entire meal) - even without wifi! The food was really delicious and our waitress (Sandy) was so nice and skillful and friendly. It can't really be explained how many emotions you go through when you can see absolutely nothing. Panic, thoughtfulness,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
