Pasternak was recommended by the hotel, and although about a 20 minute cab ride, well worth the effort. In an old home in a residential neighborhood the restaurant was full of character & charm. Wait staff were knowledgeable about the menu and were helpful with...More

I love Russian food, and this didn’t disappoint. Had some delicious pierogi and my partner had a very good solyanka. The place is cute and quite traditional inside. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good atmosphere, very good food, superb service. Very fine selection of typical russian dishes. What more could you expect from a restaurant? Certainly a place we will get back to when we are in this area.

Great breakfast/brunch place and also great for an evening dinner - there is candle light and it creates a great atmosphere. Russian style cuisine and very well prepared! Also during the summer they have a great terrace area

Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change
than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists

crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were
once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall,
there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have
been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays,

The Pasternak Restaurant Named after Nobel literature prize-winning writer Boris Pastenak, the author of Doctor Zhivago, PASTERNAK Restaurant is located in the heart of Berlin. PASTERNAK Restaurant is proud to call Berlin locality of Prenzlauer Berg its home and count important landmarks such as "Dicke Hermann" ("Thick Hermann"), the first water tower in Berlin, Rykestrasse Synagogue, Germany's largest synagogue built in 1904, and a remarkable Zeiss-Großplanetarium opened in 1987 among its neighbors. PASTERNAK Restaurant specialty is Russian and Jewish cuisine. PASTERNAK Restaurant serves its own unique house-brewed beer. PASTERNAK Restaurant brings to life the atmosphere of an authentic Russian dining room of the late 19th century, further enhanced by the live nightly piano music. A comfortable outdoor terrace with a view of the "Thick Hermann" water tower completes the picture.
