I have now been frequent visitors to this place now. Traveling from India on a business visit, our only recluse for sense of home was this restaurant. Not only in terms of food but also the atmosphere maintained by uncle and aunty Joshi. Considering the fact that as Indian I know Indian food I would rate this place as best... More

Came here on a spur of the moment when we were looking for somewhere to have an evening meal. Fate works in a curious way as this place is brilliant. The food is really good, authentic and priced reasonably for the travellers budget. We didn't have a reservation (wise to book in advance if you are thinking of dining between... More

This is a very welcoming restaurant, with friendly staff and a nice selection of Indian dishes. Quantities are good and the food is well presented. Vegetarian tastes are catered for too, with a choice of dishes. This is a nice place to share a tasty meal with a friend.

Sometimes you really enjoy the food in restaurants in these days of mass production and just hiring the cheapest chefs.. in this restaurant the food is delicious. .it costed so little. I tried curry soup and a veggie dish. The service was so attentive and fast! Thank you so much for it!

Went here tonight and loved the food. Highly recommend the mango shake for drinks, it is so refreshing. The staff are so nice and down to earth, the one lady who looked like the owner was very attentive and welcoming. Would definitely go again if we come back to Berlin!

I was not expecting to find such great Indian food in Berlin. We ordered a shared vegetarian ("Yogi") multi-course meal for two people -- it was fantastic. We received pappadam, vegetarian soup, salad, and 3 main dishes plus rice and bread and finally an amazing fruit/dairy pudding-type dessert. It was very affordable and extremely tasty. I would recommend reservations on... More

Description
We are open every day except of Wednesdays from 1st April 2016 from 17.00 to 23.00 hours. In September 2014 Restaurant Maharadscha has completed 30 years. We want to say a large thank you to all our guests for their faith in us. If you want to experience authentic Indian food you are here at the right address. We serve chicken, lamb, duck, fish and other seafood dishes but we do have a variety for our vegetarian and vegan guests as well. Here you can forget your prejudices against Indian food since you decide whether you want your dish mild, good-seasoned, spicy or very spicy. One of the owners is always at your side to make your visit memorable. Even though we have a large number of dishes, every meal is been prepared freshly after your order is placed. The restaurant is located very central. You can get to Maharadscha in Schoneberg easily in 5-10 minutes from the underground station Wittenbergplatz (Kudamm with KaDeWe). So tourists can easily travel to the restaurants.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
