The atmosphere is old world and despite not having a reservation we were kindly seated. Were there in early May for Spargel (asparagus) season and had a most delicious cream of Spargel soup. The server was attentive and after my thorough questioning about the varied desserts brought his favorite one to us "on the house"!

It was quite busy on a Monday morning around 10:00 when we arrived. They told we need to wait 10 minutes for a table, but they managed to give one for us much sooner. The herb omlette with asparagus and cheese was fantastic, around 9 Eur; the croissant was not so special, but a green tea for 6 Eur I... More

My 3rd time at Cafe Einstein, this time with two colleagues who hadn't been before. All loved our meals, steak, schnitzel & chicken. Good service, nice ambience & lovely building.

I couldn't leave Berlin without having strudel.Cafe Einstein, according to yelp, has the best apple strudel in all of Berlin. So I had to go there! We ended up having dinner as well because it was so late in the day. Not only did I have the best strudel in Berlin but I had the most delicious Lobster bisque. They... More

We travelled across town to have breakfast at this café, and it was worth the trip. It's situated in a charming and elegant urban villa and exudes an old world charm. There's an excellent selection of breakfast dishes available as well as an evening menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was absolutely great and we were saturated for a long time. Not so cheap but worth it! The place was full and a bit noisy, but the staff was still very kind. However the price of 1 litre water was terrible (7€!!)

They have a very nice garden in the back, and their breakfast was good. Good choice for a quiet lunch, an afternoon coffee.

I always return to Cafe Einstein Stammhaus. Excellent old interior- and the breakfasts are completely lovely. Not super cheap but very good value for money. Highly recommended!

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
