We spent 5 days in Berlin and we came at least once a day here. Either for lunch, dinner or breakfast. The atmosphere is cozy, the service fast and friendly and everything we had was delicious. The prices are very good and the portions quite big! Overall a great place to visit more than once!!!

Breakfast was tasteful and huge. Nice atmosphere in restaurant. We sat innside but the garden outside is a good alternative in summer or when it's a bit warmer. If I knew that a glass of orange juice (pressed oranges) was 5 euro each I would not have ordered it. Because of that the bill was 30 euro instead of 20... More

Our party of eight were all quite pleased with our food and the service at Cafe Ubersee. Several in our group had the Spätzle, and raved about it. Likewise the Gnocchi in a Pumpkin sauce got great reviews as did the Veggie Raviolis. Overall the Cafe Ubersee is a winner with good recommendations from everyone in our group. My only... More

Excellent lunch having walked in. Sat outside. Fantastic service. Good wine. Pork medallions were particularly good. Lamb chops also excellent as was the avocado and shrimp salad

We came for dinner one evening and just loved the place and the service so we had to come back the next day for breakfast. Fantastic family run restaurant where you feel like an old friend. Both meals were fantastic, but the brunch was especially good.

You want to chill at the shores of the canal and experience good cake and good coffee as well as an excellent Breakfast, Luncheon or Dinner? Definitely the Ubersee right at Paul-Lincke-Ufer is the right place - get a table in the nicest garden of Berlin and have a great time with a great Schnitzel and sparkling Cremant.

I frequent this restaurant because I always find what I need (whatever food I'm in the mood for, whatever drink I feel like) and everyone who works there is really nice and attentive in an authentic manner. In short: Great atmosphere, fantastic service, nice variety of dishes, good value

Quick and organised service; super value for money. We tried three different breakfast options, and everyone was happy with their choice. If I am forced to name something that wasn't great, I could mention that the cappuccino was not quite strong enough.

A perfect way to spend the time before dinner. Great service, great mojito, fantastic nachos. We are always returning to this magical Berlin spot.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
