Today I ordered the quinoa burger for lunch, but the cannelloni arrived instead. I spoke to my waitress about the error and she indicated that I would have to wait at least another 20 minutes for the burger to arrive. I told her that we were tight on time and could not do so. I decided to try the cannelloni... More

Only a few meters from the busy shopping street of KuDamm, this little gem of a cafe represents the the old world style and way of life. It's so refreshing to sit down and relax in an environment where the slow enjoyment is built in and the friendly service comes quite naturally. Food portions seemed very delicious as well -... More

We had been shopping in the vicinity (KaDeWe, also recommended), so chose this place as being in easy walking distance. Beautiful surroundings, staff very welcoming - we could choose to sit outside, on the veranda, or inside - that's in spite of not making a booking. Lovely furniture & fittings, the old/artistic photos a particular highlight. The food was great,... More

We took our breakfast here before going to the Kathe Kollwitz Museum. You can eat inside or outside. Lovely space and nice serving staff. We both took the the breakfast #5 - eggs & bacon. It was the perfect breakfast. Good coffee. I found the breakfast a bit expensive for what it was. The quality was good however and the... More

Located in the building housing a literary organization, full of books and photos of an era gone by. It is also the museum cafe to the nearby Kathe Kollwitz Museum. We went for breakfast before a day of museum-crawling. Sit on the outdoor terrace if possible---we did and it afforded us a nice perspective on the area. The place was... More

I came into this place for causality and I found out the perfect paradise. If you are lucky to find a sunny day, you can enjoy a really relaxing breakfast sitting in one of the tables outside in the garden. Do not forget to try one of the breakfast menu!Enjoy!

Easy to miss - it looks like a café in someone's garden. The restaurant serves good Berlin food in reasonable quantities. Excellent service. Interesting wine list. Best to book for the evening.

This is a restaurant above a bookshop in a quiet tree- lined road just off the Kurfurstendamm, near the Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church. We visited twice during a recent trip to Berlin. There is a large garden in front with lovely birdsong all around. The restaurant is in two sections, one is the garden room (conservatory style) and the other... More

The cafe is housed in what must have been a private house , surrounded by a large garden , in the elegant quarter of Berlin , Charlottenburg . It was rejected by my teenager grandson who went off to find a pizza place , but we loved it . We enjoyed white tablecloths and lovely food served by a charming... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
