If you like irish pubs and you are in Germany you may want to visit some real irish pub, and this one actually is. It does have live music like pubs in Ireland and actually most of the people there will not be germans, but tourists. There is a nice room for smokers too and prices are not too expensive... More

A really nice place with good prices & friendly staff. They even have proper Irish crisps. If the music was a tad quieter it would be perfect :)

We visited Murphys Irish bar at the end of a busy day but were very glad we decided to. The live music was excellent the beer prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere was great. The bar was busy but very comfortable definitely worth a visit.

The pub itself was nice enough, had great service etc. Went back the next day and they had a singer. If he was even half as good as he thought he was it would have been a bearable experience. Spent more time trying to be funny but actually came across as a bit of a turd, making fun of people... More

Nice pub by the river, nothing particularly Irish about it apart from some Irish songs playing. Went in for a beer and stayed for food and to watch the football. Food was good and pub has a nice feel to it. Good selection of drinks. Staff aren't very friendly, barman came across rude but maybe that's just his way. Would... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
