We went for edamame and Korean pancakes for starters. The edamame was really tender, and the pancakes were over the top. But the best was yet to come; the maki we ordered was amazing. Both the fish and rice was of good quality, and I appreciated that the makis for once weren't too big. The staff was nice and welcoming... More

The sushi served here is top quality - fresh products and really authentic taste. The menu offers enough variety, nothing outrageous, more traditional sushi. There are also some non-Sushi main dishes which looked very good on the other tables but we did not try them. There was also very good Sake and Japanese green tea which we did try. Only... More

Food is awesome, service is slowest you can find: waiting to order for 25-30 min is kinda OK. Add 30-45 for food to come. Just don't go when you are really hungry, otherwise you'll be pissed.

We were looking at another restaurant down the same road when 2 strangers told us if we were looking for 'Asian' food we should follow them to Ky. We were really glad we did. Excellent food at very reasonable prices and, as others have commented, really good and very friendly service. If you are not familiar with this area of... More

I love this place! I went with my friend, who brought her dog. The staff brought him a water bowl and were all smiles, very friendly. The menu is a lot to choose from. My friend got the bimbimbap, which was fantastic- crispy, steaming rice with fresh sprouts, fried egg, vegetables, and hot sauce. It was too much for her... More

We actually went to KY Sushi hoping to taste some cooked Japanese food, so this review will just cover this part of their menu. They also offer sushi and some Korean dishes which we have not tried. The place is relatively nice, with a couple of tables outside and inside. The street is not too noisy and we liked sitting... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
