ok it is cosy and has an irish atmosphere but the lady who served us was unfiendly, was not in for any chat and wanted a tip (she layed her hand for a long time on the returned money). Besides E 5,90 for a beer...

The place was homey with all the wooden furnitures and panelings. Service was great and the young Asian lady watching the WC was so accommodating.

It was Saturday night and I sat at the bar. The bartender was from Cork, Ireland and the service was great! Traveling alone on business, small talk with others around me and the live band playing classic rock made for a good time. The BBQ burger was awesome and a Guinness was a perfect pairing. I was tired of all... More

Located in the airport close to the gate this bar restaurant is too small and uncomfortable but still offers more than the otherwise stark airport. The staff were friendly and efficient under immense pressure. Has the curry wurst. It was ok but definitely not the best

It is near the Hackescher Market S-Bahn station, for traveling around the city by train. Pleasant surroundings inside and an outdoor area for eating and drinking. A lovely sunny day and enjoying the world go by, with drink in hand sitting out in the open air - soviouring every drop as it goes down your throat - here's to the... More

Visited on each of the 3 nights we stayed in Berlin - we were within a 5 minute walk from our hotel. The bar has a lively atmosphere and have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings from about 21:00. The drinks are not the cheapest in town, but when you are on holiday, who cares! Good local pilsner is... More

We headed to the Kilkenny immediately after arriving in Berlin. Our team was playing and the match was on Sky Sports - we emailed the pub to check they would be showing the game and they replied very quickly. The pub was near empty when we arrived, but as we got there at noon on a Sunday that was to... More

Went here for a quick bite and a drink. Quick service from the tourist friendly staff, great food (Nachos were fantastic) Beers were somewhat on the high side of price but still worth it for the friendly staff. Authentic enough interior for an Irish pub if I say so myself!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
