A tiny place serving perfect japanese ramen. I recommend Tantanmen which is like a japanese bolognese soup. Great!

Tiny restaurant serving very decent Japanese ramen style noodle. Very busy and pack, so not sure that works well for large group. The stock was amazing, rich and powerful taste, the only way they could improve would be to produce their own noodle. I found the noodle themselves not that tasty. If you like ramen and you cannot make it... More

All dishes are amazing, place awesome and rice tee I loved that! The interiors remember somehow Tokyo and for this reason you feel totally in the far east

You can eat at the bar and watch the ability of the cooks while preparing original delicious Japanese food: a show! For some 15 euros a dinner. Just a few tables in the local: you're advised ;-)

Dropped in for a quick bite, the service was prompt, loved the open kitchen with the seating around it. The food was prepared promptly and tasted amazing definitely an experience worth repeating.

This Ramen shop is authentic and operated by Japanese people. Miso ramen is excellent and so are the gyozas. If you plan to visit this restaurant I'd suggest you go early at opening as the place gets REAL busy.

Located in Mitte and just a short walk away from Hackeschermarkt, Cocolo does live up to the hype it receives. Interested in checking it out for an early dinner? Make sure you come at least 15 minutes before it opens as there will always be a line outside the place. Cocolo is a small place, with only a few tables... More

Do you like the famous Japanese soups called Ramen? If yes, this is the right place for you. Good soups and quite nice restaurant. Just remember: they do not accept reservations and you can pay only in cash. Ah, also expect some queue!

I visited this place on my stag doo for a bit of snap before we went for a few tinnys and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, we're all big eaters and was filled and had the quality there with it as well, would recommend couples and families it's not really a bunch of lads place really.

I have been recommended this place by so many people that I was ready for some kind of disappointment. But I had a delicious meal, great service, lovely atmosphere, one of the best meals I had in Berlin.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
