After not having been there for a while we went back tonight. OMG! What happened to this once so charming restaurant? The atmosphere has changed completely from a cosy, living room feeling to a cold cantine-like atmosphere. Waiters used to be very friendly and welcoming,...More

Looking over a quiet square with a fountain, the Restaurant Wiesenstein serves solid German food. A small menu features local delights, and I asked for sauerkraut as a side dish which was as good as my mum's. I had German pasta with gorgonzola sauce and...More

We sat on the lovely terrace with a nice view on Viktoria-Louise-square. It takes a little getting used to the waiters but service was fast and polite. My Wiener Schnitzel was huge and gorgeous. The warm potato salad with cucumber was delicious. I will definitely...More

This probably the worst restaurant I was in Berlin in 12 years. How can it survive in such a nice location. The service is so slow and grumpy. Waiters never smile and look like they doing you a favour. If you want to wait for...More

I used always enjoy a visit to Wiesenstein. The food is often dull but the ambiance, staff and reasonable prices compensated. This visit was little short of a total disaster. I had booked a week in advance and specified the inside room. When we arrived on...More

Local "amazing" food. Tasty and well done. My first time here was in 2015 and I came back... It worth it. Duck is the perfect choice made it like Bavarian stile. The place an the staff are really nice and helpful. Very reasonable price.

My ex-pat friend took me to this restaurant so I could try German food at a place he likes. We ended up sharing the Duck special for 2: It was split and carved, and the skin was nice and crisp. The red cabbage was terrific...More

Really nice Schwäbisch (Suabian/ southern German) food - feels a bit more refined than the usual basic German restaurant (though there's nothing wrong with a basic German restaurant!). The pork shoulder (Schäufele) is highly recommended.

In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political
west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to
famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may
have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays
tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest
city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent
past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating
back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while
