A wonderful dining experience --however, it is not a phenomenal dining experience -- the Tim Raue take on Peking Duck is just dull as was the short rib --the langoustine by contrast was the best I've ever had -- staff was efficient but not overly friendly -- phenomenal wine list

Really brought back memories of Japan. Good Asian-Fusion food. More modern restaurant. In a low key area of Berlin. Nice restaurant with visibility the street. The restaurant has a very casual vibe. I was dining by myself and the staff was very accommodating. Had the opportunity to pick some great courses and the meal was expediently served. The cuisine is... More

A gastronomic delight. We had the eight course dinner menu. The five first courses were absolutely terrific. A bombardment of senses of smell and taste. I didn't enjoy the Dim Sum Truffle, and the eel was mediocre. We had the wine menu (1/2 glass) mostly terrific white wines, that complement the food nicely. Only one sake, didn't fancy that one.... Pleasant greeting. Two choices on degustation menu in the number of dishes. They had been forewarned that a member of us did not like coriander. A couple of dishes had coriander and even though one was only a top dressing they could not remove it. They did offer alternative choices of the alternate degustation. It would appear that the dishes... More

My Boyfriend and I met in Berlin and we decided to try out the types of food that Berlin has to offer. Tim Raue came up tops in almost all of our searches and we spent a splendid afternoon there enjoying our 6 courses lunch with Peking duck. Both of us were blown away by the level of attentiveness by... More

Cool, laid-back and trendy Berlinesque design and ambiance - not your standard Michelin decor! The food is a wonderful and delicate fusion of Asian and European styles and ingredients, and guarantees a much 'lighter' experience than traditional French haute cuisine; mostly carb-free. Excellent sommelier.

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday, we were a group of 12 so we had to order the set menu. We got to taste a lot of dishes, each came looking like a painting . Most dishes were very tasty, I loved the beef and the langoustine. The duck was not so good, it came with a very heavy soup.... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
