At arrival we were sat at a nice table, but without any menu or something to drink. It took the servers a long time to come over to our table and help us. Eventually we ordered a pizza and a pasta. The food was well prepared, the pasta wax a rather large portion. It's an nice place with decent food,... More

We didn't have a reservation but the staff was very friendly and gave us a very good table. The waitress was very helpful and patient when ordering hot drinks. The Sunday Brunch selection is ample, but do expect standart food, although I would recommend strongly the "vitello tonnato". The waitresses were maybe a little too "pushy" asking if we wanted... Happened upon this place due to trying a previous Italian restaurant which was completely full. Very spacious and atmospheric place, with wall to wall shelves on one side, filled with bottles of wine. And a long bar filling the other end of the restaurant. We were seated right away, despite it being quite busy, by welcoming staff. The food was... More

Delicious food, friendly & good service, interesting dishes and reasonable prices. It is also kind of cosy and not very loud.

During a short holiday with 2 kids, we passed new years eve at Winterfeld. The restaurant was fully occupied, but still we got enough attention. The menu choice was limited on this evening, but that is only logical on such evening. The food was very good and affordable.

We visited whilst in Berlin and restaurant was very quiet but it was early on a Monday, we had a pleasant pizza and very nice desserts. The service was pleasant and quick, The menu has a tapas section and good choice of authentic Italian fare. Wine was very nice but a bit pricey.

When we entered the reception was quite cold even despite trying to speak German as a polite attempt to break the ice. The waitress pointed towards our table with a faceless expression, we looked through the menu and the prices were quite reasonable, except the bottle of wine that was 140 euros! When the waitress came over to take our... More

I've eaten here several times during the last years. The pizza is great, the meat dishes are good, and so is the pasta. The service is swift and good - all over. The only annoying thing is that the staff tends to write "Tip is not included" on the bill. That is contemptible and makes me want to quit tipping.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
