I was not trying the restaurant but testing the butchery. Yesterday I bought there my Dry Aged Entrecot and found a new shop of trust. The quality, the fine & nuty taste and also the price of the top air dryed meat was amazing. I tested the Entrecot and also the filet. Both tasting great. Try it by yourself and... More

Just as everyone says "The Empire Strikes Back" is the best in the original trilogy, my second visit (after a two year hiatus) to Filetstuck had the same effect. Alone this time, I took a G&T to cleanse the palette, followed by a Fresian entrecôte, babyleaf spinach, rosemary potatoes and a glass of St Emilion. I have NEVER had a... More

This is about steak, plain and simple. Excellent steak, properly cooked, with simple sides. You are paying for the steak quality. Don't go expecting high-end appetizers and service, go expecting high-end steak properly prepared.

We wandered into this place after walking up and down Danziger Strasse. The steak was excellent, knowledgeable friendly staff whom were not condescending, spoke perfect English to our shoddy German, and clearly loved their wine and meat. The steak was cooked to perfection and the Rosemary potatoes, spinach and bean sides were delicious. Perhaps a little too much salt for... More

It is fine but nothing really new. They pride themselves on their steaks but mine was tough. I went for lunch and could not imagine going back for dinner.

Visited on a Sunday night and was blown away by the beautiful set up of the tables and the crispy menu. Surely a pricy experience but worth every cent! Super professional service (we were served by the Restaurant Manager) and the food was prepared just the way we asked for! Thumbs up and always again! :-)

This is second time going to Filetstuck @ Schönhauser Allee 45 and I must say that they deliver. Excellent service, very good food. The wine was also perfectly matched with the meat. It's not cheap but worth every cent. I had the dry aged 5 weeks.

My husband's steak was overcooked, while mine was perfect. The mashed potatoes were way too sour cremey for both of us, but the salami appetizer was delicious. I also had a great cheese cake for dessert. Overall, we both thought this was a pretty average place. Nothing special, but nothing terrible.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
