I went here whilst in Berlin on business, while I had a bit of time for sightseeing. Once again,TripAdvisor served up a good place for lunch. I was able to sit outside in the plaza around this and a number of other restaurants, and enjoyed not only a superb cold beer, but a huge plate of currywurst with chips. There are plenty of... More

Had a great meal here with friendly staff on hand. The pork schnitzel can be recommended, and unlike other places we had been to, they had a wine list! Recommended.

Went along to Emmas after reading TA reviews and had a great evening, food very good well presented and of good quality, beers great and served by a very friendly waiter who made us feel very comfortable during the evening. Even got a free 'Air of Berlin' shot to finish our meal, really nice touch which just ended our night... More

This place is close to the Berlin Don Cathedral and had very good schnitzel. I'd definitely recommend if you are in the area. I had pork schnitzel with fries and a salad. It was enough for 2 servings and inexpensive. It's tucked away in a block with other restaurants, but it's worth the find and pretty easy to find. The... More

While in Berlin for ' birthday treat' weekend we decided to go to Emmas for the celebration meal and were very glad we did. The staff went to much trouble to decorate the table and make the evening special, spending much time engaging with us to make sure we had the best time. We ordered both meat schnitzel and vegetarian... More

We had an average meal here this week. It was a bit off putting to see the remains of meals being scraped into a plastic tomato ketchup bucket perched on s shelf just behind my mums head. I had high hopes for this place but was a bit disappointed 😞

We visited Emma's on our last night in Berlin. It's a modern place , not traditional at all but the food was exceptional. We ordered the shared mixed starter and then the schnitzel and saltimbocca. All the food was delicious. The service was also very friendly. Will definitely revisit next time we're in Berlin.

Has a chalkboard wall to entertain the kids. Loved the schnitzel best I had while in the area. Would highly recommend dropping by and only a short walk from museum island.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
