Different food for different time of the day. You can always find something that suits you. From simple salat of very good hamburger to big meal. As always good beer (goof choice).

We were staying at the Cosmo Hotel, over the road from this restaurant. One night we were in the mood for something 'ordinary' but good. As tourists, one tends to eat a lot of 'tourist food', and it was a relief to be able to get away from this without having to go down the ethnic route. We didn't have... More

Sort of a fast food restaurant , pizza was like getting one straight from the supermarket box and warming it up - I think they would be better off not serving pizza at all. We also tried grilled chicken breast with herb butter potatoes - the chicken was good (you can try that with no regrets), unlike the potatoes which... More

Very relaxing atmosphere, staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English. Food was so great that I came for dinner for two nights. The price was also reasonable and affordable. Would definitely come again if I visit Berlin again. Highly recommend!

On our first visit to Berlin we were told that although it was easy to eat very well in the city, eating good German food was harder. That wasn't our experience. We probably didn't have much to compare it with, but – just round the corner from our hotel – it served our needs well. This is a light, modern,... More

We chose this place because it was close to our hotel and we didn't have great expectations. We ended up in a nice place with great staff, good food. The waiter recommended the best beer and told us jokes every time he was at out table.

I asked for some soup. It took ages to come, the waitresses spoke no English, and when it did come it was inedible...it was SOOOO salty! My husband asked for something, that on the menu looked like an icecream...what came looked nothing like on the menu and and was not icecream. On the plus side, when I returned the soup,... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
