Perfect flavors. Fried superbly. Highly recommend. Nearly everything we tried was excellent. Splurge on the Walnut and Honey Torte! It was a pillowy delight, just the right amount of sweetness.

We ordered a bit of everything: falafel, tabouleh, minced meat, hummus, couscous and aubergine salad. All was tasty and the portions good and quite cheap. The falafel over all was just perfect, super tasty.

It was wayyyy too good. They have this perfect resolution, that you can take one plate with little portions of different dishes. It was just so delicious! Nice service and interesting, colourful interior.

Tried the falafel plate, which was delicious and a great deal at 5.5 euros! Definitely worth a visit for the food, but if you want a glass of tap water, too bad--you have to buy bottled water instead. Also, it looked like they had a number of wifi networks, which is so necessary when traveling, but apparently they were all... More

I thought I won't find better shawarma than whole neukolln - i was wrong. "Da da falafel" is an amazing place. Falafen and meat is well spiced with very good souces and lots of herbs.

This is a take away place, not a fancy restaurant. I had a very good falafel there late last night and it was excellent for a very fair price. The service was prompt and friendly and the ingredients were very fresh. There is much more on the menu to choose from. A great place for a quick grab of food... More

It has other things than falafel like some schwarma. I had the falafel though and some hummus and both were good. Very reasonable price and fast service. Located close to some cool bars.

The falafels were great. Hummus not so much. Everything else was mediocre. The shawarma was too sour and did not taste nice. The service was good and the guy was very friendly.

Straightforward, great tasting food in a restaurant which doubles up as a gallery. Quick service, very polite and friendly, but not fawning (don't expect US-style service). Falafel is great, also tabouleh salad. Highly recommended for food and watching turnover of customers - people-watching, as another viewer observed!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
