Located in a beautiful area just 5' away from alexplatz via tram. Variety of coctails in the menu with an average of 8-10€ each. Friendly stuff.

There's outdoor and indoor drinking, fab cocktails and fast bartenders. I like this place in my neighbourhood.

This place is certainly not in a tourist area, and that's why it's a good place to meet locals. The yummy and strong cocktails are 10-15 € (pretty standard price in northern Europe). The service is excellent! The friendly bar tender will sit down at your table and explain the cocktail menu and offer his/her recommendations. The drinks menu is... More

One of my all-time favourite cocktail bars. My wife and I first stumbled upon Saphire while we were on assignment in Berlin a number of years ago – we were lucky enough to call this establishment our “local” and it was a must-visit when we found ourselves back in Berlin for a weekend this past September. The drinks here are... More

Very good, high quality cocktails and long drinks. Would just go there if the weather is nice. Since the atmosphere inside is not really special. Sitting outside on a warm summer day with a delicious cocktail is really nice though

Without a doubt very good and tasty cocktails. Many people here, complain about the prices, i do not at all agree, prices are very fair. Only negative thing, is that we waited very long time, before our drinks were ready, maybe they should cut on the earnings and hire two bartenders instead of only one ;-) Worth a visit...

A really nice experience. AT first we found the pricing quite high, but the cocktails was worth every cent. A good mixture of classics and own creations.

It's hard to find good cocktails in Berlin but this place know their business, the drinks can look expensive but they are great. I had the best Cosmo ever, they also have a wide range of spirits which is very interesting. Nice atmosphere, good service, a very nice place!

You get what you pay for, and it takes a while to be ready, but the drinks are excellent quality. Would definitely recommend this place.

This has so far been the biggest surprise during our stay in Berlin. We were recommended this place by friends, and it exceeded all expectations by far. There are so many different drinks available, many unique for this bar. We tried 4 drinks each, all superbly tasting. The staff are very helpful, and give excellent recommendations based on the customers... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
