We certainly didn't feel welcomed by grouchy waiter behind the bar when we arrived on time for our reservation. Once our reservation was confirmed, a very pleasant waiter seated us at our table and another unhappy waiter took over. He seemed quite put out when...More

We were concerned when we saw so many reviews complaining about the service here but we had quite the opposite experience as the staff were first class even though it's so busy for dinner! Well done team! Food is good and very high quality. We...More

It was a nice late-August evening, warm enough to sit outside. The meal was first rate from beginning to end. My wife and I shared a Caesar salad; she had the blood sausage and I the ox cheeks, which were superb: they almost melted in...More

Lovely old restaurant with bags of character, efficient service and great food. I had some of the best liver I have ever eaten and the prices are not excessively expensive. Good seating outside, a German institute.

A very nice restaurant with outside and inside tables and linen napkins (always a good sign) and we chose to eat outside. We chose this restaurant because I wanted wienersnitchel! Everything about our meal, drinks, service, food, was excellent except for my wienersnitchel. I thought...More

Our meals we describe as traditional, regional cuisine with Austrian Wiener Schnitzel, which was hailed in the New York Times as "the best steak outside of Vienna." the Berlin style sauerbraten won first Prize in the German Sauerbraten Competition. Moreover, traditional dishes and recipes refined and taken up in part inspired the modern kitchen.
